Air Venturi Air leaking while im trying to fill?

Hi, i just bough my first airgun the, Air Ventura avenger and i cant seem to fill the tank because the female to male adaptor piece is leaking air. I have tried two different female to male adaptors and both have the same issue. Is this just suppose to happen? am i missing something? it leaks from the end part that connects to the gun it self. sorry if this was not clear thanks for any help 👍

Are you sure the air is leaking there and not out of the muzzle? I ask because I see that the fill nipple is adjacent to the muzzle on that gun.

One thing that can cause an issue for new guns is hammer pressure on the valve when the tank is empty. It may be that you may need to cock the hammer before filling to take pressure off of the valve. Some valves require a little pressure in the tank to seal when uncocked. If this is the problem you will not be able to fill, but air will be coming out of the barrel / shroud.

If this isn’t the problem, look if there’s any dirt in that coupling and maybe clean it out with a Q-tip and put a little bit of silicone grease in it and that may help it seal.

A little unclear on which part you are talking about…. Is there some adapter between the female on the air hose and the nipple on the gun itself? How about taking a picture where you are pointing to the part?

Hi thanks for the the response sorry about the unclearness, i tried pulling the cocking the gun and i am having the same issue. the air is leaking from this part where it connects to the gun the connector peice doesnt seem to lock down here is a video and picture. this is where the air seems to be leaking from, it builds up some amount of pressure as i pump. but the pressure leaks from this part. i can tell its this part because if i pump for a few pumps and then take off the peice quickly some of the built up air escapes. thanks👍

Not clear what I'm looking at in video. Handpump fill whip should have come with an 8mm female quick-disconnect end which clips on male quick-disconnect fitting on Avenger. Have you changed anything about either of these fittings? WM
hi thanks for the reponse, i tried to show where it was leaking in the video and the noise of air escaping hahaha, i havnt changed anything about eithier of the fitting. heres a video of where the air is leaking out where the connection peice touches the gun thanks

New video is being processed, not available to view yet. The first video doesn't show what I recognize as the typical male-female quick disconnect set-up. Pulling collar back on female section to clip on male, should feel a "click" when connection is good, gentle tug to verify. I've had to replace ragged, worn out "O" rings inside female quick-disconnects but not on new ones. WM

i have used two female quick disconnects so i dont think its the o rings which is why it troubles me it might be the gun it self and both were new and the gun was new to

Here is a double-sided male quick-disconnect adapter for connecting two female ended hoses, does your gun male quick-disconnect look like one half of this adapter?

Both ends look good, can't make out "O" rings inside female quick-disconnect but if you can, should be fine. You pull back collar on female, insert male, release collar, gentle tug verifies locked in place, all sounds good. Tape piece of tissue paper over end of barrel and pump, if tissue moves, Mr. P called it. WM
just tried it with tissue am i putting the pump peices on correctly herws a video also really appreacite the help

Where the female quick-disconnect threads into fill whip, is there a white, small plastic washer inside that the female quick-disconnect tightens against? Don't rule out leaks there, too.
i am almsot 100 percent the leak is where im talking about because i can pump for a little and if i quickly take off the connector the air hisses out so its reaching that part of the pump heres a video

Best practice to connect female to male is retract female knurled collar back towards hose, insert like this fully on male section, release collar when female won't go any further on male fitting. Gentle tug will verify solid connection, when doing so will not separate male and female fittings. WM
i just tried that same problem thanks for the help though
