Other Air Pistol Recommendations

If you've got the money, then get the GK1, and you might want to do it now, given what's going on with tariffs.

The following pistols aren't PCP's, but they're the air pistols I would be shopping for if I didn't already have them...Crosman 600, Crosman Mk1, Webley Tempest, Beeman P17.
The one air pistol I wouldn't buy again is the Beeman P1/HW45. It's performance is disappointing considering it's price point.

I also wouldn't purchase a Hatsan Jet again, but I regard that as more of a carbine than a pistol, which is something that PCP air pistols seem to inevitably morph into. People want more shots per fill and better consistency, so they opt for larger reservoirs and then find that the gun is too large and awkward to be used as a pistol and they add a folding stock and a scope.
I've heard of the tempest before, how does it compare for accuracy with the Crossman MK1/mk2?

The 1701P is a great target pistol for the money. Not terribly pellet picky and it sips air. If you want to shoot an accurate pistol, it's a bargain.

I would highly recommend getting the Huben GK1 as the performance is just light years ahead of everything out there.

Yes, if you do not have the money right now or not willing to save you could easily get pistols like: the Beeman Tempest, HW44, and many others for a steep discount. Why? that is because of the Huben GK1. Once you shoot one you are highly likely not going to want to shoot the others. That is why I sold my Tempest and HW44; those were great back in the day but today they are so weak and no comparison to the GK1....

used HW44, 22 cal at Airguns of Arizona,,, I wonder if they will budge on the $789,,, still cheap compared to new
I'm new to PCP air gunning and the bug has bitten hard. I have two new rifles (FX Impact M4 and RAW HM1000x) and I'm having a blast with them.

That said, I really want to get an accurate, quality PCP Pistol to shoot at 10-25 yards.

Please provide recommendations for make, model and caliber.

THANKS!

I have seen them sold for $625 to $650 used. For $789 I think I would still pay the extra $461 and get the Huben GK1. For me selling all of my other air pistols was well worth it as that paid for the Huben GK1 and it is way more fun to shoot and more versatile to accurately shoot from 10 yards to 50 yards and do so with 800 FPS + as fast as I can pull the tigger....

I have a Huben k1 and it sits when the others get used,,, i keep my guns with a magazine in them, all I have to do is cock and shot,,,
the Huben , when loaded relies on the safety, or keep it empty,,, fine for when I just want to throw lead but that is not the use I need
I like them on hot standby
each to their own, I got the HW44 and carbinized it

I'm addicted to air pistols, and I currently own the following: Edgun Veles, Steyr LP50 HP (Compact and Standard), Huben GK1 in all calibers, HW44, and Zoraki.

These are my personal picks, and I always go for high-quality builds and solid performance. To summarize:

  • If you're looking for something extremely fun (but also expensive), the Huben GK1 is hard to beat — especially since it's widely supported with custom accessories. " Ethan makes the best accessories you can find for GK1 "
  • After that, I'd recommend the Steyr LP50, which is another outstanding choice. HP stands for High Power for compact 12 Joules and Std gives 14 Joules " if you looking for power go for GK1
  • The rest of the pistols I mentioned are excellent as well.

However, if you need an air pistol that doesn’t require an external air cylinder to refill and is extremely accurate, I highly recommend the Zoraki. " Zero Recoil , it require pumps : more pumps more power " max pumps 4 and its single shot

The main thing i do not like about the GK1 is the magazine is not removeable, can't have a single shot tray and if the magazine jams or breaks your out of that gun for X weeks to get repaired .

It is like this, the Crossman 1701 or 1720 are the way to go if shooting less than say 35yarrds,very accurate ,The Marurder pistol is also good and it is a repeater.
Of course, the Huben pistol is great and better for longer distances and hunting. It is also $1000 more expensive. If you have the money and want to shoot farther than 35 yards, get it.
Yes the folding butt stock makes it a rifle,of course that is a kool option,Yes indeed toe Tequila pistol is another great choice. Options are such a great thing :giggle:
