Tuning Air pressure gauge DAR Gen 2 airguns

The air pressure gauge of the Gen 2, 22 cal DAR does not specify whether the red zone readings are in PSI or BAR albeit the receiver indicates a fill pressure of 3,000 psi max Does anybody know why the incongruence? If you fill to 200 bar it shows well below gauge red zone. Called seller but no reply yet to my message.

The gauge is MPa just like it reads. So fill to 20 on that gauge to reach 2900 psi

Yes, the confusing gauge was not a good choice. The red does seem to reflect above the max fill recommended on the gun at about 220bar/22MPa. Maybe it was real cheap and the support questions might be more expensive than the cost of these gauges in the long run.



Furthermore, I don't know why anyone makes gauges with a black background. The Wika with the white background and very long scale is probably my favorite due it's ease of readability.

Probably to allow for cool down adjustment when filling. People probably fill right up to that red then it lowers a little by itself. Rather idiotic for the company to do it that way if it's indeed not the case.

I think they can go higher up to the red. 3190psi/22mpa (don't do it though) and are just conservative on the 200bar max from a longevity standpoint. Manufacturer probably knew and Aims Sport having similar mindset as I have to not fill past 3000psi no matter if the guns have higher fill ratings to prolong the life of the seals.
