Air rifle from canada

Same reason you can't get FX from Europe. Import taxes and dealers. They have rules not to ship to the states so your only option is used or local dealers.
I understand that now. Just sucks that they make sure the price is THEIR price. f allowed to buy from canada the conversion would save us 500$. Funny how that isnt allowed

Ok guys what is the deal with FX guns and ordering from canada. I figure with the conversion rate id give it a go. AGS tells me they dont have the license. I understand they look at the dynamic as a firearm so why cant i order it and have it shipped to an FFL and save 500$?

It is because their dealers licence only allows them to sell within Canada. If they sell to the USA then they could lose their licence to sell FX.

As mentioned by @marflow 777 , "Specialty Shooting Sports Outdoors" in Canada sold Weihrauch for decades and they had a licence that allowed them to sell to USA and Canada. WH rifles were a large part of their business as not a lot of people sold them over here back then. People in the US bought from them all the time because their prices were cheaper. AofA got in a big stink about it (2012ish?) and complained to the owner of WH. WH told SSSO that they could no longer sell WH to the USA, he was changing their licence agreement and if they didn't like it too bad. They sadly went out of business a few years later, a huge blow to the Canadian airgun community. You can still read about it if you google it. Won't deal with AofA or WH for those reasons.

Some of you missing something not ordinary in USA.
In Canada you wanna buy an airgun faster then 499 fps you would need to own a PAL (firearm license). The stores are setup like that... every Serial Number is reported to CFO (firearms officer).
If you don't have or cannot provide the PAL number any store is just not able to sell it to you. This is more like registration and administration (and control as well somewhere down a road).
There are ways to go around legally... I know Wes from archeryairgunfun was selling some full specs PP750 rifles not in recent past ???

I even asked them about this because here in NJ they are viewed as firearms. I asked if they could ship it to an FFL to which i was told no they dont have the licensing. This makes zero sense to me that they cant ship it to a FFL dealer here in the states.

archeryairgunfun i was going to get my pp750 from but the have to remove the air stripper and change the regulator for less power
i had to buy from Krale to get it full power with the air stripper.

This is the Canadian firearms license number you need to fill in order to get one:

That is just like a pistol purchasing number here. Im not Canadian. Ship it to a licensed firearms dealer and let them fill out the paperwork i need stateside. I see this as a money grab nothing more.
It doesn't change the fact that they are not allowed to sell to people outside of Canada by the contract they signed with FX to be allowed to sell their products. Sending to an FFL doesn't matter, they still are not allowed to do it. They would risk their licence to do so without permission from FX.

Same reason that we can get Snowpeak stuff in Canada while a dealers in the USA are restricted on some of it. The M60/M60B for instance because Umarex licensed it in the US as the Zelos.

The "license" part is what is frustrating here. This isnt a different model or a 12flb rule like in europe. This is the EXACT same rifle. Its canada being canada. I fish for steelhead. If i send a 1k reel and claim it they want some ridiculous tax. Meanwhile i can drive my happy butt across the bridge in buffalo and hand it off without so much as a second glance. If 2 dealers are allowed to sell a rifle, the exact same rifle, then i should be able to buy it just like powder burners and have it shipped to a licensed FFL. Hell Westley Richards makes some of the finest guns in the world. I have one from England. An air rifle is more complex than a powder gun? As stated i searched the whole of the net and unless its used they have a lock on the price they are willing to sell it for and this is the way they get to control it.

I think you can purchase in Canada provided you acquire a Canadian PAL (firearms license) together with an associated Canadian address where you would store the firearm. Once you jump through all those hoops you would then have to start the process to export from Canada to the States. That's another set of troubles. But once you've passed through those hoops, yes you could purchase in Canada.

Is it worth the $500 savings? No.

Sounds like a friend in Buffalo could stand to make a little money moving some FX.
