If there were an adapter made to go from the muzzle side of a moderator to the male thread, then these could be added to existing moderators.
Yes/No?
Sure. I put one inside every moderator I build now. It's all about the first and second baffles. They do need to go infront of the silencer baffles though.

I was hoping somebody else was playing with them. I got bored and wanted to see if i could do it too. We shall see if its worth a darn. View attachment 354426
That will work. Nice looking too. Now if you make that cone section threaded and add a locknut so that the shooter can move the cone in and out WRT the jump from the bore and then lock it down you will have a very valuable device which can be customized to the individual rifle.

One thing I'm seeing mentioned a lot in the writings of other folks doing these, you want that cone to be 60 degrees if you can achieve that. My experience suggests that is credible.

I can heat gun the green loctite out of this one and devise a way to put a tunable insert in. Thanks fir the heads up on 60*. Ive got to see how slugs paper with it as is with my other variables before i go disassembling it.

Keep us posted on your results.
Took it out and tried it, no scope adjustment to the poi shift but poi was stable and combined with the carbon harmonic tuner shroud on my impact, the air stripper and shroud was quieter than shroud alone at 55 ft lbs (as my buddy said it was the limit to back yard friendly noise). If 55 ft lbs was ever back yard friendly. I will try it on paper another day but results are promising!
