Does a pcp system use the exact same amount of air regardless of pellet wt.of the same caliber? Thanks

Yes, and no. It depends on the design. A typical regulated pcp will for the most part. However a rifle like the Texan, if I remember right, has a design that allows the valve to stay open longer to use more air to fire heavier slugs.
