Air Venturi 4500 psi compressor won't pressurize

I called Air Venturi this morning. They suggested that I ship the unit back to them, They were very nice and easy to deal with. I am now in the market for a back up. Thanks to all you helped me out.
Get a GX Cs4 for your primary. There is a slightly used one in classified right now. Much better and easier to use. I have both.

Just ordered the tuxing high pressure seals after mangling 3 from pyramid. Air Venturi seals are now on back order.

Any helpful installation tips? Ran into trouble trying to get the seals seated using the tool. Seems they weren’t completely in the slot before I ran the tool over them and stretched them badly.
Stretch them as little as possible to get them over the piston. Then I reshape them into the grooves as far as I can with my fingers. I start down over the piston with the tool and then lifting it back off to check and make sure there is no issues. You might do this two or three times while you're installing the seals.

Ended up getting more high pressure seals from Pyramid. Got them installed just fine. The compressor still won’t build pressure. Double checked everything Including the check valve. All looks fine.

Did notice air blowing out the oil cap. Don’t remember it doing that before.

Im open to ideas before calling Air Venturi Monday. Really want to avoid shipping this thing back.

Have you figured out anything on your AV? When you pulled the cylinder off to change the seals did you inspect the reed valves in the head of the cylinder and if so, get them back in place with the correct orientation? If it's not building pressure at all and you feel like the seal replacement went well, it sounds like something may not be installed correctly. How about the check valve at the bottom of the filter tower where the high-pressure air attaches.
The reed valve in the head of the low-pressure side may be to be inspected/cleaned as well as the horseshoe shaped check valve.
And btw, the tuxing high pressure seals seem to be working well in my AV.

In general, if air comes out the filler/breather, it indicates blowby of the piston. Rings/seals and cylinder bore in need of inspection.

I think it can also just be the case breathing due to the strokes of the pistons going up and down, displacing air and then sucking a little back in.
Mine does it but it's just very small puffs.

Very true. Jumsted indicated this air out the breather was New situation since changing seals and not raising pressure..that's why "in general "..

The freight monkeys have been especially destructive lately, sticky fingers too. I sold very costly professional equipment for decades, big heavy equipment. Over my entire career I never had damage so severe the product was trashed. My last year full time was 2023 and I had two 50 K machines destroyed due to freight company handling. Oh and stuff stolen as well. The consolidated freight industry is NOT a good thing. It costs more too.
