Air Venturi Air venturi avenger disassembly question.

Hello,

A while back a bought a set of o-rings to replace the ones in my air venturi, now I've tried to get the pellet probe out but I can't seem to get the cover off of it in order to get to it.
Now the question is how do you remove this? The only video I could find of someone taking it apart that far just taps the end on the table and it comes off, but this doesn't work.
It seems to be stuck in the middle (like there are some of those annoying plastic clips) I did try to put two screwdrivers on both sides but as it's plastic I don't know how far i can take it before it breaks. attached a photo and the guy in the video hits the left side on of the plastic on the table. photo - https://ibb.co/55JJ8hj.

Hope someone can help me out.

I ended up using plastic wedges an a thin chisel to cut the tabs. The cover will go back on after cutting the tabs. luckily the top rail pieces keep the cover in place when you put it back together. The screw connected to the probe is reverse thread and you pull the probe back to get to it. Took me a while to figure that one out. Hope this helps.

Thank you, i will give it a try!

I took a look at the spare avenger bullpup receiver I have for a future project/parts and figured it out. Once you have the charging handle removed. Remove the pin that is located in the back and lower part of the plastic cover. The pin protrudes on both side to help keep the plastic cover on. The second piece that keeps things in place is the plastic bushing the pellet probe rides through. I used a small wooden dowel to push it to the rear about a 1/4 of on inch. I then placed the receiver in a vise with the plastic cover straddling the jaws. Don't lock it in, just have the plastic cover sitting on the jaws. Lightly tap the cast part of the receiver with a rubber mallet or small dead blow hammer if needed. Should have done this with my first avenger project. I got it separated but it was pure brute force and ignorance.

I just tried it and finally the thing is off, all I had to do was push it a little with the back of a pencil and the cover came off. ( have to admit i already went a little crazy with a chisel before i saw your post but it was still stuck). Thanks a lot!
