Tuning Air Venturi AVENGER Tuning questions

I am getting an AVENGER in the mail any day, wood stock.

In the Airgun Web video, Rick tuned the gun to shoot 18.13gr JSB's at 930fps. He got a good consistant shot string and alot of shots per fill.

I'm wondering:

1) Is 930 the best FPS for Avenger .22 JSB 18.13grs? His reg was at 2300 psi vs 2900 psi factory tune.

2) Is the Avenger shot string less consistant if you tune it to 890FPS?

3) Opinions on good reg pressure / pellet speed / pellet weights would be appreciated.

You are reviewing the gun right? Drag out the chrony and shoot some shotstrings. Twist the dials up and down until you find what you are looking for.

That's not going to happen. Unless you send me a bunch of pellets. Also, I would need $100 per hour.

Yes I'm reviewing the gun. If you want me to do all that, $3k is a fair price for the video, that's what other channels get.

For free: I'll spend about 2 hours shooting your gun/filming and 25 hours editing the video = 1 week.

If Airgun Nation Forum can't help me tune an Avenger, then I don't know that the video is worth my time. Should we skip it?

Thanks. I figured 890 was good to shoot for...just because I have had good luck with that speed in the past 2 guns I used. 880fps it is...around 2000psi.

That's enough to get me going. Thank you.

...and now Shambozzie: I will go shoot the dam thing!

I got used to AGN doing all the hard stuff for me. I'll try and start pulling my own wieght! Sorry about the "attitude". I am actually getting paid $429 for this review...so I'm definately making over minimum wage...which is good!

Thanks guys! -Nate

I say you skip it. If you can’t be bothered to even shoot it some, what’s the point?
