Air Venturi Air Venturi Avenger x Tactical comparisons

I’m looking at getting a PCP and shopping for a midrange gun. I like the looks and features of the Air Venturi X Tactical, is there anything out there that has comparable features close to that price range? It would have to be considerably better for me to spend an extra 200-300. Most of my shooting will be in the 30-50yd range at targets in my backyard.

In my opinion there is no other airgun in the market that can compare with the new Avenge-X in his same price point that can outperform this rifle and much less at this relative short 30-50 yards range, which is where it is even much more accurate than others airguns that cost two o three times more his price. There is a reason why currently I own three of them while my other high end Kalibrgun cricket II tactical .60 WTC airgun is collecting dust.

Suggestions for a budget friendly compressor? I’ve seen enough video to know I don’t want to hand pump one of these.
I’ve been quite happy with the performance of my GX CS2. Picked it up on Amazon for around $320 if I remember correctly. And the Target Forge channel on youtube has all the maintenance/upgrade videos you would ever need for it.

I recommend this budget friendly pcp compressor for only $175.00 dollars plus tax. I just buy another one today to have a spare, since my other budget compressor is almost two years old and I am afraid his better days are close to be over. Sorry don’t know why the system automatically changed his description to spanish since I am a bilingual person and understood both languages.

I have been using this affordable orange compressor that is in the background of this pic for almost 2 years already and it’s still working flawlessly. The following are the golden rules to increase their longevity and make them the more reliable as possible;

1) never try to use them for over 10 minutes at the time. If you need more time just give them a few minutes of rest until they are completely cold before you continue using it.

2) as soon you finish keep the fan on for a couple minutes more to help them cool down the soon as possible. Remember the excess heat is what damages them prematurely and cut their longevity.

3) as soon you finish remove the hose and turn one the compressor again for about a couple of seconds to remove all the excess moisture.

4) I use mine quite frequently to fill my four pcp airguns weekly that’s why I bought another one to have a spare.

The tactical avenge-x hammer adjustment is kind of a pain to access if you have to do it on the fly just a FYI if you tune a lot. Also buy high mounts for your scopes so you can take advantage of the higher capacity magazines, learned that the hard
The same happened to me after I bought my new Avenge-X classic in .22 cal that comes with a high capacity 16 rounds oem mags. My Arken medium size scope rings were to low, to avoid this same issue with my other Avenge-X in .25 cal I installed the same Arkens SH-4 34 mm tube scope with the high rings and everything went perfect, I bought another set of Arkens high rings to my other .22 cal Avenge-X to solve this issue. I have four oem high capacity mags, two .22 and two .25 cal for my Avenge-X airguns.

This is my new toy, I shot about 600 pellets through it already and really like it; tight groups at 35yards and a pleasure to operate. I ended up buying the VEVO compressor off of Amazon with the 2 year extended warranty, if it breaks they can send me another one.
Sweet looking set up !!

That’s the one I bought along with the 2yr warranty, an extra hose and a bigger moisture/carbon filter. Works great and temp has not been over 22C while filling my rifle. I hadn’t thought about running the compressor after disconnecting the hose to expell moisture inside the compressor but will in the future. Thanks for the tips.

That's a nice looking rig!! I'm also looking to get into pcp. I have a Gamo swarm fusion break barrel that i have enjoyed shooting for the last few years but now that I'm close to the age of 70 I'm finding it more difficult to break the barrel all day. I've read reviews about the Air Venturi Avenge-X leaking air or the regulator creeping up after sitting for a few days and wanted to ask if you had experienced any at all.

I think the regulator issues were with the Avenger, although there seems to be some fluctuation between 1900-2100psi on my Avenge-X. I’m tickled with the Avenge-X and absolutely love shooting it. I cleared some brush and now shooting at 50yds and it is spot on. I bought a Gamo Swarm Magnum which is really hard to cock before the Avenge-X and I may never shoot the Gamo again.

I started off with a Gamo Whisper and evolved from there. There's still a place for break barrels that even pcps can't fill and that's just being able to pick up and go and not worry about any air. I'd say keep it for those rainy days when you have people over and want to plink or maybe just for other testing purposes or challenging yourself.
