Air Venturi HP4500 SCBA Valve to DIN adapter

The dive shop that filled my 88 cuft scba tank the last couple of times had their adapter stolen. They said they weren't going to buy a new adapter anytime soon, but if I brought one in they would fill my tank. The chat guys at Pyramyd didn't know what adapter to recommend. What adapter do I need to go from my Air Venturi HP4500 SCBA Valve to DIN. Also where do I get it?

The 88cuft scba tank sold at Pyramyd has a different fill port, http://www.pyramydair.com/s/a/Air_Venturi_HP4500_SCBA_Replacement_Valve/4086, than airtanksforsale. I tried the chat help again at Pyramyd, this time they said I needed a female DIN that has a male foster fitting that would then go into the whip to the tank. Its rare, but sometimes pumping by hand seems like the best option.

This is what you need to fill an SCBA tank at a SCUBA shop

Best to talk to your fill center. I fill at both a paintball and a scuba shop and both accept the paintball fitting which looks like this. The fill center should be able to tell you what you need. Airhog has pictures of all their fittings. Show them to your center and I am sure they can figure out the fitting you need. I believe the fire house requires yet another fitting.

I need this same adapter but $70 seems high to me. My situation is I have a DIN 300 fill station for my scuba tank and I want to purchase an SCBA tank so to use my fill station on an SCBA tank I will need that adapter. I have looked into buying each fitting separate but it ends up about the same price by the time you add shipping to each fitting the DIN 300 female is the most expensive part and harder to find.

I have a SCBA to DIN 300 adapter from R&L for a little over $40. Its a one piece stainless steel unit purpose made to fill DIN 300 at the fire house (SCBA). Its called the fire house adapter and I recommend it. My tank is 300 DIN and I fill at the fire house where they have SCBA. Sounds to me like all you would have to do is reverse the setup but look at the pic and make your decision. My setup is Male/Male fitting. Major edit, they are now asking almost $70. Guess I got lucky a while back. It did seem a much better deal than the others, guess I was right.

Dan,

In the OP situation this adapter would do him NO GOOD. He needs exactly the opposite. If he needed to fill at a Fire House they could just hook right to his tank.
