I hope some of this information can help some. I purchased an AV Booster a few months ago as I was drawn to the simplicity, low cost, can be pieced together (as in: I figured the most problematic part of the equation was the compressor), This Booster was supported by a pretty large well known outfit in the industry and had U.S. support, so shipping a 20+ pound booster would be a lot cheaper than shipping a 70 pound compressor if it ever had trouble.
My booster worked great long enough to fill a 75CF Omega tank once or twice. Then it stopped building pressure. After seeking help here, and putting logic together, I realized that it was in fact broken and I had to send it back. AV was good enough to cover shipping back to them, service the unit, and shipping it back to me in perfect working order....for enough time to fill my tank ONCE, then it stopped building pressure again.
I called AGD and after telling my story, they agreed to refund my purchase. Huge kudos to them for doing the right thing and standing behind their product. However, the AV Booster was a huge disappointment and I can not recommend it to anyone.
In the midst of all this I purchased an Altaros Booster from a fellow member here. The unit has worked flawlessly so far. I have only used it to fill twice or so, but that is a different review.
