Greetings to all:
I recently purchase an Airforce Condor .22 and been testing the waters with different types of projectiles. Pellets and or slugs, I opted for NSA .217 17.5gr slugs. I started out with 3000psi fill and maxed out the power wheel and was getting some extremely fast FPS out of the slugs and with the report to match. As I am learning this rifle I learned that I should lower the FPS of the slugs down to around 1000-900 FPS..
I purchased an Altaros regulator and installed it with the setting at 150 bar and bottle filled at 3000psi and power wheel maxed out was giving me some better results with around 15 good useable shot at around 1030FPS. I was somewhat please with the results so I degassed the bottle and reset the regulator pressure to 125 bar and fill the bottle back to 3000psi and started the test. WOW!!! what difference with the regulator set at 125 bar and bottle filled to 3000psi and power wheel maxed out was getting over 30 shot with an average of 985 - 969 FPS with an average of 999. I was so impressed with the results that I decided to leave it alone, my shot count increased as well as the accuracy all shot where within 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch at 25 yards as before they shot like a shot gun meaning all over the place
Just thought I would share my results as I consider these results a success especially for me.
Thanks for reading, now back to shooting.
