Other AirForce Knockoff First Look + Other Pinty Guns

The crazy winds finally let up a little this afternoon and I was able to finally zero the QM23 Bullpup at the 16 yard fence line with the 18 gn Apolo Air Boss pellets. Once that was complete, I could consistantly hit the head of push pins at that range (with my 2 MOA Sig Romeo 5 red dot optic). Next I tried some H&N Baracuda 21 gn pellets and they shot just as well if not slightty better than the Apolos. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny, low wind and about 57 degrees for a high so off to the WMA I will go with the Bullpup in hand. More to come...
Great to here, my limited rounds indicated the rifle is accurate out of the box. The trigger does make that challenging, but that's easily addressed. I may also get the bullpup, my brother has been shopping perhaps a first gun for him, he's talented mechanically but broke.

The bullpup is so light and short that shooting off hand with a red dot is a great option at shorter distances (less than 30 yards).
I was struggling today to hit my target (50-60 yards) from a standing rest (tripod) because it moves so much :)

I can handle a squirrel head shot out to about 35 yards , but it gets darn small at 50 yards with a 1X optic. Most of my shooting with this rifle will be 35 yards and in. I'll take the Escape UL if I need to reach out and touch something in the distance. (y)
I've found some work lately for my airguns. We have a slough behind my place that is overrun with water rats (Nutria) An airgun is legal to discharge inside city limits here. I'm thinkin night hunting will be fun.

Well, despite the this thread diverting to the direction of the bullpup, it looks like I've been smitten by the "enabler affect" due to Rob and THammer's contributions of the PForce.
Funny.. 6 months or so ago if you have told me I would be interested in a tactical style airgun I would told you that you were crazy. Closest thing I got to that style gun was some Crosman "lego" guns and their skeleton stocks. I've even suggested that the PForce looks more like a scuba divers spear gun than an airgun. I think some of that results from me trying to avoid the cost of the Talon line up. The price tag on the PForce with the discount has made that argument no existent. The other tear downs in that defensive wall have been the NOTOS and the Avenger in the Buck Rail tactical kit.
So this morning after reading the threads here and on "the other forum" ( I don't do marketing videos ) I have made a plan to scrounge up the money to order up a PForce.
BTW... this thread has the best information on this gun of any I've read... thank you guys for that.
I'll follow up.

I have to admit I was not a fan of the single shot platform. Then I acquired a Talon SS for $100. The only original parts left on that rifle are the power wheel, moderator and frame. Easy to modify from the stock 35FPE to 70FPE. Tons of variations too.

Since I have a .22 Talon (and a .22 Condor later today) I have been able to resist buying the P-force (tm Rob_in_NC). That and I wasnt sure the upgrade path was as clear as with the AirForce guns.

Still thinking about the Bullpup, just wish there were .25 or .30 options.

The Beeman 1358 has me covered on the cheap bullpup side. The forward cocking lever made that happen for me.
As for single shot... yeah, I like the convenience of mags. especially when I have enough to cover a full fill before reloading. The downside to that is how fast you can blow through pellets.
But lately I have been enjoying the slower pace of single loading.. and one of the upsides to that, with this gun, is that the mags don't restrict the use of some slugs if you choose to use them. I think this gun may have plenty of power to shoot some slugs. I also expect to see more and more simple mods that will alleviate most, if not all of the reported issues as time goes on. The gun is still in the baby stages of ownership.
THammer has already worked out the trigger and I'm sure he, or someone else will address the pellet/bolt loading issue.. I have a few ideas but I have to have the gun in hand before I can test them... basically it just involves some shimming.

The customer service at Pinty is excellent. I will have my new replacement P-force by Friday, got the tracking number this AM. If they can mill the top portion off the barrel at the loading port it would make a "shelf" to put the pellet on to ease loading by feel. It's not bad, but that would be better. Kinda tough to do that DIY well.

Order has been placed. I used "BLACK20" and got it for $238 to my door.
I sold a couple unused PB guns to the gun shop and I couldn't believe what was on the wall for sale. A used AF Texan .457. He said he would have traded it for the guns I brought him but I turned it down. He had $450 on the tag. I don't need that kind of gun. I plink and shoot the occasional pest. I would have needed to buy the mold to cast bullets.
It would have been a good deal for someone that could use it.

Received the P-RIFLE today. No damage to box or rifle. Aired up and shot 10 shots with 14.3 averaging 904 fps and 21.6 fpe. Had a high of 911 and 1st shot was low at 895 fps. Came with 2 mags and o rings. The mags load into breech from the lt side but the BARRA 1100Z mags fit perfect and load in from rt side. I think the BARRA mags will fit the P-PUP also. Both are 10 shot and BARRA has them at $12.00 each. First impression is it is light weight shoulders well and cocking is a little heavy. trigger feels great right out of box. Has been sitting for 4 hours with no loss of pressure. Right now I have the flu but hopefully by the weekend will do some testing.

What is thread size for the suppressor? I don't think it's 1/2-20???

Enjoying seeing the thread going on to the other Pinty (still hate that name) offerings and so I've changed the title of the original thread again to accommodate.
I got a lot of enjoyment messing around with QB's back in the day converting to HPA and playing around with them and these guns seem to fit the same bill. Relatively inexpensive and certainly more bang for the buck than a lot of offerings out there. Good to see that the customer service is responsive.
Someone has asked about slugs and I have to say I've not tried them in mine yet.

To be fair, I'm awaiting a re-worked sear from a generous forum member before I do much more with mine. Also, I wont be dedicating my PForce to slugs, rather my plan is to turn it down from where it's at for extra shot count. I have other guns that fill that ~30fpe niche in .22 at the moment. But the good thing with these is that should I decide to crank it up for some slugs, it appears the potential is there in a regulated platform.

That was exactly what I was thinking. Seems like it would be easy to record the dope with the numbered power wheel along with turret settings.
