I'm sitting here staring out the window watching for the UPS guy. Not even supposed to be here for 4 hours but I keep looking...Well I caved this weekend, new gun on the way LOL
If you're not careful in loading, yes... they will try to load a bit cockeyed. I think I have a .22 reamer for a lead in and may use that at a later timeAre pellets loading more smoothly now? Or does it feel like they might be taking some abuse engaging the rifling?
I picked up a few tapered reamers in each caliber 22-35. I'll verify what my leade looks like and how testing results go if needed as well.If you're not careful in loading, yes... they will try to load a bit cockeyed. I think I have a .22 reamer for a lead in and may use that at a later time
Good deal. I do have a mini lathe and mini mill.... but my 'machining' skills are about that of a chimp with a dremel.. but assuming the barrel is concentric, I can at least do a leade in here. I think I have a .22, .25 and .30 here at the house...somewhere. I've not used them in years though. Had used them on a couple TJ liners back when I was doing a few different builds. and I have dial indicators to check for concentric... so should be good to go!I picked up a few tapered reamers in each caliber 22-35. With pellets sometimes it just doesn’t require a major operation and a $30k lathe. You could probable just dress things up even with a cratex bit and everything will be fine. I highly doubt you‘re working with chromoly.Good deal. I've finished a ton of barrels on a HF mini lathe. I was finally able to upgrade. Grizzly G0752. Biggest I could get without having to rewire the garage to 3 phase. It is a 3 phase lathe but small enough to run off a converter. 10x22 so definitely makes barrels easier to finish.Good deal. yes... with my minimal skills, the HF mini I have will do me a bit. I keep checking back here to see if yours came in. Looking forward to seeing how your thoughts on the gun compares with mine!I've finished a ton of barrels on a HF mini lathe. I was finally able to upgrade. Grizzly G0752.
