Other AirForce Knockoff First Look + Other Pinty Guns

UTG Swat 10x50 fixed. Looks the part. One issue in the firing cycle. Once I can film it I'll post it. Not a huge issue with the consistency it's already getting but I think there is definitely more to be had with very little work.

@thammer, does the grip look like it'd accept a standard AR grip, or is it proprietary?

Also curious about the barrel....if a Air force LW could be swapped into it?
I'll check the grip. I'm not familiar enough with the AF LW barrels too day just by visual but looks so close it's possible. I do have a 22 LW barrel from an AF. I'll grab it from storage to check.

My only AR grip is a Magpul off my UX Hammer and it does not come close to fitting. Possible with out the rear section on the Magpul. Holes do look like it's possible to fit.

Interesting that you are near maxed on power. I'm at roughly those speeds with mine on PW3. I've not even tried to bump it up any as I found those speeds just fine for now. The 'wiggle' you do upon closing is same for mine. Also interesting was you didnt report the rough cocking at first. Far as an AF barrel fitting, I've not tried yet or removed the barrel on it. Still lots to be done. Also noted that your trigger is far lighter than mine, which was 5.88lbs. So some inconsistencies with manufacture for sure. Will be interesting to see how yours groups compared to mine. You seem to have a little more of a leade in than I do, but our crowns are similar and that will be the first order of business for me before the next outing.

Factory AF on the left so won't swap without machining.

No cocking issues at all. Super smooth. It's possible at a lower power wheel setting it's still at that same level. I just maxed it on purpose to see what that was.

Single boxed. Minor box damage from the cocking Lever getting pushed through but zero damage to the actual rifle. Cocks extremely smooth but first look at the barrel doesn't give me high hopes for accuracy. A new leade and crown are likely needed but we'll test as is prior to any mods. It has Cricket gauges and reg but a Huben reseal kit? Typical looking at both ends. They must have a turbo mounted to their cross slide. Good pics.

Huben Power just dropped your first major upgrade. Doubling the cost of your rifle.

But 120CC of plenum...

That will probably happen if I decide to re-barrel to larger caliber or longer barrel. Seems to be doing really well with the short barrel and pellets in .22.

The thin part of the barrel is what the breech cylinder slides on, and is longer on the Clone than the AF, but will that actually affect anything? As I understand it on the AF version, the breech end is indexed to the breech slide by the 2 bushings on the barrel, not where the thick barrel becomes narrower. Will the AF barrel work if it is indexed properly, or is there enough room for the breech to slide?

Received my rifle today empty of air. Aired up to 3600 psi- looks like reg at 13.5 bar. Power wheel set at lowest setting . Shoots 14.3 pellets at average of 950 fpe for 5 shots. Will let it sit to make sure no leaks before more testing and adjusting.
No leaking on mine after 2 days. I had bumped mine down to PW2 with no change in velocity. Your reg seems close to where mine is. I just noted the 3600psi fill. I had been filling to 3000 because I failed to read the manual.

With the way that works you can't get the AF barrel far enough in. The cocking slide and hammer I believe are too far back. I can try but I doubt it works.

Lots of work to catch up on so it will probably be several days before I can get back to this. I have limited time at the 100 yard indoor range down the street so I went ahead and re-crowed the barrel and turned down the M14x1mm thread and used a die to convert it to a standard 1/2x20 that way I wouldn't be limited on the Mod I used on it.
