Other AirForce Knockoff First Look + Other Pinty Guns

With a little more sear polishing. I've not touched the hammer engagement. I'm at a 5 shot average of 2lb 4oz of trigger pull. Still running at good power with a 16" barrel. 883-889-883-879-886 with 18.13gr JSB.
That's encouraging. Did you replace any springs in the trigger setup? Any 'gotchas' with the trigger I should be aware of? I've not tore mine apart yet, was waiting on some lighter springs to come in. I would be thrilled with a 2lb trigger at this point.

The 3 springs in the trigger are really light. Similar to those in a click ink pin but shorter. I'll get pictures today. It's a really basic 3piece trigger but different from an actual AF gun.

I thought they were light, but seemed that with my trigger at 5.88lbs, it couldnt all be solved by polishing, but perhaps so. Very encouraging!

Not just a polish. I reshaped the actual sear. When you pull the trigger it is pushing the hammer forward against the hammer spring before releasing. That's why they are so heavy. I did what we always did to the original Kral guns because they had that same issue before they switched to the new trigger design they use now.

hmm... with the questionable availability of parts, I'm not sure I'm comfortable with much other than a polish so I'll lower my expectations on the trigger then...haha

Worst case once I'm happy with the trigger and you're comfortable with the design we'll just swap them. I'll send you mine you send me yours.

Has anyone actually put rounds on paper yet .. Lol?

I understand geeking out and getting the bugs worked out but seeing shots at say 30 yards out of the box vs after some "minor" tweaks would be cool....

Videos go a Long way mi amigos
I have to travel to get more than chrony numbers. I'm personally not doing that knowing I needed a little barrel work. I'm sure you'll get more and more pics out of the box shooting as others get theirs. We're the guinea pigs hoping to help others decide if it's a good fit/purchase for them.

look further up in this thread. I put groups on paper.

But far as videos...nope. My face is made for audio only. I had posted some group sizes, I think... bottom line is the trigger on mine makes it difficult to group. After some initial testing, I plinked around a bit to get used to the trigger and did several groups. Some were better and some were worse than the one posted, but felt it was a representation of an 'average' of what I could do with the gun with the exceedingly heavy trigger pull.

Polished the hammer where the sear engaged. Profiled the sear and polished. Both polished to 1000grit. Sear was completely flat causing the trigger pull to overcome friction and push the hammer forward adding the hammer spring weight to the pull as well. Here are my results after the mod. It's still a rather long travel but I prefer that over a safety issue shortening the engagement.
