No, doesn't auto engage. Decocks easily. Is the safety fully automatic like Airforce guns? Can't be de-cocked?
I find that to be the biggest annoyance on my Talon. Having to hit the safety for every shot. No, doesn't auto engage. Decocks easily.
That's encouraging. Did you replace any springs in the trigger setup? Any 'gotchas' with the trigger I should be aware of? I've not tore mine apart yet, was waiting on some lighter springs to come in. I would be thrilled with a 2lb trigger at this point. With a little more sear polishing. I've not touched the hammer engagement. I'm at a 5 shot average of 2lb 4oz of trigger pull. Still running at good power with a 16" barrel. 883-889-883-879-886 with 18.13gr JSB.
The 3 springs in the trigger are really light. Similar to those in a click ink pin but shorter. I'll get pictures today. It's a really basic 3piece trigger but different from an actual AF gun. That's encouraging. Did you replace any springs in the trigger setup? Any 'gotchas' with the trigger I should be aware of? I thought they were light, but seemed that with my trigger at 5.88lbs, it couldnt all be solved by polishing, but perhaps so. Very encouraging! The 3 springs in the trigger are really light. Not just a polish. I reshaped the actual sear. When you pull the trigger it is pushing the hammer forward against the hammer spring before releasing. That's why they are so heavy. I did what we always did to the original Kral guns because they had that same issue before they switched to the new trigger design they use now.I thought they were light, but seemed that with my trigger at 5.88lbs, it couldnt all be solved by polishing, but perhaps so. hmm... with the questionable availability of parts, I'm not sure I'm comfortable with much other than a polish so I'll lower my expectations on the trigger then...hahaNot just a polish. Worst case once I'm happy with the trigger and you're comfortable with the design we'll just swap them. I'll send you mine you send me yours.hmm... with the questionable availability of parts, I'm not sure I'm comfortable with much other than a polish so I'll lower my expectations on the trigger then...haha
You're a legend, sir...! Will see how all this goes.Worst case once I'm happy with the trigger and you're comfortable with the design we'll just swap them. I'll send you mine you send me yours.
I enjoy it and and feel it's not fair to not share. You're a legend, sir...! Will see how all this goes.
I have to travel to get more than chrony numbers. I'm personally not doing that knowing I needed a little barrel work. I'm sure you'll get more and more pics out of the box shooting as others get theirs. We're the guinea pigs hoping to help others decide if it's a good fit/purchase for them.Has anyone actually put rounds on paper yet .. Lol?
I understand geeking out and getting the bugs worked out but seeing shots at say 30 yards out of the box vs after some "minor" tweaks would be cool....
