Other AirForce Knockoff First Look + Other Pinty Guns

With the blueing. Will never be perfect but doubt it's noticeable.

My final build and full specs except for Chrony numbers. I mailed my sear out so I'm just waiting on the factory one to get sent back. I'm not in a rush to even shoot. Just love the building process.

21" QB barrel with a loading tray.

Moved the barrel back to near the top hat to reduce the dead space between the pellet and air.

Ported the valve slightly larger for a faster flow.

13" functional shroud with a 1/2x20 adapter.

Will obviously have the sear modification.

37" OAL plus the Mod.

After a miscue with the shipping damaged rifle, Pinty rocks! I'm ordering up an endcap for my Ronin to try on it, it's a little loud for the basement. The moderator is probably backyard OK. Project will wait a bit, I am picking up my birthday present to myself and family today, Costco here I come for my 77" LG OLED. My old Samsung big screen is getting dim. Not a gamer, love my movies.

Is that a chemical instant blue thammer? Looks great. I just bought a bottle of Brownells Oxpho blue, I have heard good things. Getting mighty costly for good bluing. Environmental regulations in most places make it impossible. I've seen the result of not handling waste bluing properly, very very ugly.
It's Birchwood Casey Aluminum Blue. I bought a bottle of it and metal blue, also Birchwood Casey, many years ago. I think I looked a few weeks ago and it's still available. It's about 2 minutes per coat. It is instant blue with the aluminum blue bottle. Rub it on with a cloth. Let it sit a minute and then polish with a clean cloth. Very important to degrease first. Even oils on your fingertips will prevent it from proper blueing.

Update on Pinty work in progress. Yes I used grinder, file, and a stone At the range yesterday, shot jsb 15.89 and H&N 15 but the Pinty shot the best with the Crosman 14.3 at just over 900 fps at 25 yards . Anyone tried slugs yet ? I got a bunch on Nielsen .217 Dia 20.2 grain slugs going to try next week. After last run to the range the trigger is now 2lbs 1.4 ounce. Seems like it settles in after work on the trigger

Great video review.
States the 3 main issues:
-very heavy trigger
-poor tolerances for the bolt, which makes it necessary to fiddle with it on every shot
-it is loud, with a small moderator and has a non standard airsoft style thread

If I want to improve on those issues it will take $100+ in my time and materials.

I agree it looks cool, but I am not buying it.

For the price I can buy something better.

$100? man, that's some pretty expensive grinder wheels and moly paste to dress the trigger sear. I could care less about the muzzle report and I'm retired.. my time is already paid for. But I kinda get it... not everybody is me... thank goodness. ;)
My time is still not free but I am looking forward to the time when I can do whatever I want all day long :)

I anticipate there will be returns on the P-force.
Maybe I will buy a return/refurb if the price is right.

I remember a few yrs back when American Tactical was selling the Nova Vista Liberty guns. Nova Vista is the same company that makes the Avenger & Avenger X. American Tactical didn't have the capabilities to service airguns, so they sold the returned guns for $100.00 dollars! I already had a Liberty, so I bought 2 more for spare parts. Both are wood stocked & came with all the accessories. I think Pinty will be doing the same thing on all their guns. It would cost them too much to ship them back to China.

I bought a few new Nova Vista when they were liquidating them.
Now I only have 5 left :)

I think this is what will happen to the Pinty PCPs too.

I had the first ATI Freedom to hit consumers hands, it was a slip up as there were none listed for sale yet. The one I have does not have that obnoxious white lettering :)
Back to the P-Force Here is a target I shot with it over a weeks time, holding over due to the 10m distance.

Here is some poor video of slug test. 21 grain .218 H&N show promise. The camera is 7 yards from the rifle and 5 from the target, to give an idea of the noise it makes.

-No argument on the trigger, but mine is not that egregious for a plinker. If I was trying to do precision shooting, I would complain. I have other options for that game.
-Luck of the draw, mine is tight and I have yet to get it to fail to slide. I don't care where or how I try and move it forward, it slides well.
-Not my impression. With my wife out of town I am shooting it from the front room, through the living room to the dining room (10 yards). Is not loud to me.

For $238 delivered. Your money, your choice, but I am pretty happy with it.

I changed out the Monstrum Ruckus for an Athlon TSP4. I like the aesthetics and how the rear support of the optic blends with the rifle's upper rail. It is a nice, illuminated prism optic I got for $160 new.

Some of us cannot send our wives away, even though some of us would like to :)

Just added a 6-7" long 3D printed moderator to my bullpup and it's really quiet.
The P-force has a very short moderator and a shorter barrel (16" compared to 18" on bullpup/rifle) which means more noise.

By the way the prices on the bullpup and P-force have been raised to $300.
