On the "utility" Airforce guns there is a grub screw that holds the spin lock nut from turning, is it the same for the Texans? I know Airforce says to not lube anything, or use a dry lube, but for the air bottle I clean and lube the threads with a little grease, tighten the spin lock (can't get much leverage on the little wrench, but the nut is big and doesn't need much), then tighten the grub screw, which also gets a drop/dab of lube once in a blue moon. Unless I'm twisting the bottle a lot, they stay tight. Grease helps things tighten and loosen with less torque of the wrench, and for some reason doesn't seem to make things loosen up on their own as long as they get tight to begin with.
And yeah the wrench is kinda flimsy but at least it's small and light. It may be that AF doesn't want owners to tighten that nut too much on the bottle.
