Airforce talon p barrel swap

I bought an Airforce talonp 25 caliber about 2 years ago. I have since upgraded it with a Mad Dog stock and an 18" 25 caliber Barrel. My question is can I put an 18" .177 caliber Barrel on this setup. I've heard some talk that there is too much air flow with the high flow valve. I read something about a tank dump because of some pressure issue anyone has done this successfully let me know

my understanding is You will need some kind of restrictor. There’s that top hat kit that Air Force sells - I was able to shoot .177 with a Condor valve exactly your set up, but with a smaller opening on the valve. This particular Condor valve has a Talon tunes quick change top hat but the AF one should work just fine I think.

Don't know about the 18 or 24" barrel but with a 12" barrel in .177, smallest ring loc transfer port (.07) and hammer spring on #1 I was getting 510 fps for an unbelievable number of shots. I stopped counting at 100 or so and had lots of air left. I have since gone to .20 cal, I get 40 or so shots with 15.89g pellets about 900 fps average using the .123 TP and power wheel on 8

Like MrP said you need a restrictor.
