While I don't have a Talon, I do have a Texan .457. I have also experienced sketchy customer service from Airforce regarding warranty claims. On both occasions the description of repairs failed to explain clearly exactly what was done to "repair" my gun. Last Dec I sent my gun's air tank to Airforce to correct a problem I had with valve lock at pressures over 2500 PSI. I sent the tank to the address contained on the owner's manual for repairs, but it was a PO Box that rarely gets checked. Consequently, no one took care of my issue for a month. When the repair was finally made it took another 3-4 weeks to fix it.
None of the ladies who answer the phones could tell me the extent of my repairs, but just last week I got a call from Ton Jones, THE tech guy at Airforce and he was able to explain what repairs were made.Always ask to speak to Ton Jones when inquiring about service. The receptionists are very nice, if not very knowledgable about repairs.
