Airforce TalonP Carbine owner opinions?

Just ordered an Airforce TalonP Carbine from Airgun Depot. Trying to find something lightweight and short, super simple and powerful for my wife to pack around the property to shoot snakes with. She’s been grabbing my Evol .30 to take out to the creek when one of the kids spots a snake, but I’m currently working away from home and I am not going to even try to advise her how to re-load the Evol magazines over the phone. It’s easy enough but not for a woman who spends her days behind a sewing machine or in the kitchen reinventing stuff she’s seen on The British Baking Show.
Tried thinking what’s the simplest most easy to use, easy to carry airgun out there that would be handy for her. I really really just wanted an excuse to buy an Evol Mini….. but that would’ve just been me buying myself something nice and letting her think it was hers, so I rethought my choice with her needs more in mind.
Note: I’m not above doing such a thing and I don’t look down on any of you guys that have convinced your wife that the new such and such that you ordered was for her. I myself bought my mother a skateboard for her birthday when I was about 10 years old. Seeing as how she was a cripple after having a tumor removed from her pelvic bone 6 or 7 years prior, she never rode the skateboard and it seemed such a shame for it not to be used that I eventually ended up having to be the one to get any use out of it.
Anyway. Back to the topic. How many shots per fill are you guys seeing from the TalonP and what pellet weight does it seem to prefer for you? I’m no stranger to Airforce airguns, I own a Condor in .25 and .22 and a Texan in 457 but I’ve no experience with a .25 with that small of a tank and with that short of a barrel.
Ammo suggestions? Looking for minute-of-snake accuracy at 30 yards and coon killers at 50 yards.

The oring mod behind the top hat for a more steady shot count.. the jsb 25.39g and the polymag would be the ticket for close hunts..

Another option for perfection..would be using a 480cc carbon Bottle.. still maintaining a light carbine .. using a talon tunes gen2 6" moderator would allow you to use a almost 14" long barrel.. that if you use the Tj .250 - 1-22 will let you stabilize 34g perfectly for those 60y + shoots.. I have always kept my airforce guns.. because those are the ones who let me plink at 3k psi and less .. when those hurricane cat 5 hit . and there is no much places to fill tanks some times like the lasts one for 5 months..

Thanks for the input. I already have a condor, but it’s a bit of a handful for what she needs. I’m just hoping to keep this one short and light for the wife to use. Nice pic!

It does happen. Back when we shot at the Good Ole Boy's club in TN SHE had and used the nicest air rifle we owned. (not that I havent perhaps put a few tins of pellets through it myself). She still owns it.
For a snake rig might "she" need a DAQ Camp & Garden Gun .410 shot pistol ? Seems a logical idea for her to me. A fine heirloom quality, limited production and made by a legend that should work very well on a snake, what could she possibly not like about it? Maybe add some walnut grigs or a budget priced Crosman stock depending.

Edit: Pardon me for totally missing "ordered" .
I know on an AF Escape UL (small bottle condor+ valve) in .25 at 79 yards (just my range) 6 true target quality shoots wJSB 35.9g from 2,600psi. Sorry I cant help. John

I agree with Mercado on the 25.39 JSBs. Mine also shoots FX Hybrid slugs very well.

The o ring behind the top hat helped a little with the shot count, and I also replaced the small original bottle with a 330cc paintball bottle to extend the shot count.

The biggest improvement for me was a Mad Dog stock. Much less hold sensitive and a big help in ergonomics, while still not making the gun to heavy to handle.

I’ll try the fx hybrids out and see how they do. I had already discounted using slugs in it due to lower power but I’m happy to try what has worked for others. Thanks for the suggestion!

My wife seems fairly happy with this. And it’s quite a powerhouse for its size. Very handy size and with the 2000 lumen Olight up front it’s ready for nighttime trash panda duty too. She’s shooting postage-stamp sized 5 shot groups at 40 yards with it. Plenty good enough for what she needs.
Super slick little package.

My take on the TalonP. I added a longer bottle and red dot. Very accurate, lightweight and fun shooter.
