Airforce Airforce texan ammo box interior dimensions for slugs end to end.

Hey don't know if this has been discussed. I would like someone if they could measure the internal dimensions of the Airforce Texan ammo box end to end . I need 3" total for 4 - 250gn slugs to fit. Can someone measure the inside of theirs and thanks.

I had never heard of this item so I looked it up. The site does say that it holds two slugs.
There is also one picture of it with it partially open.

I don't own a Texan (yet) but my TalonP, the cutout is 4 1/2 inches, so you could probably make a pretty close guess as to the available storage space.
This wouldnt work on the TalonP because of the cocking mechanism on it.

You could probalby make something to fit that same space under the scope rail out of close cell foam and just put holes through it to slide your slugs into and have more than enough room for 4 slugs and also be easier to access.

Yes, that foam looks pretty cool. I saw it says 2 slugs and it looks like the slugs are the biggest for picture and function. Those look about 450 gn pretty long slugs. The ones I'm using in my 45 cal carbine are 250gn @ 3/4" long each. If I had an exact measurement I would decide if I wanted to purchase. After tax and shipping the box is $37. For 4 slugs that would be good but for me if it's 2 slugs I'll just carry 4 in a muzzleloader reloader in my pocket. I'll give the foam a try if all else fails. Here's what the 250gn will bring down 30 to 65 yds
