Airforce Airforce Texan biopod

I have an airforce bipod on my Texan. When I am shooting I have to re-level the gun after every shot. Not sure I really understand how to work the bipod. Should I be able to level the gun and lock the bipod in somehow? I am not very familiar with bipods and honestly have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to this thing!!!! Attached is a picture of the bipod itself. I do not even know what all of the screws on the thing are for!!

That black "handle" between the bipod legs is spring loaded, you'll feel it if you pull straight back on it. Turn it clockwise to tighten it enough to secure rifle in place (level). You won't be able to turn the handle 360 degrees & that's where the spring loading comes in. Pull back & rotate it counterclockwise, let go & tighten till it won't let rifle cant (tilt).

Mannnnnnn... @Gerry52 Thank you so much for that!!! I was wondering what I was doing wrong!! I understand exactly what you are saying!! I appreciate it!! I wonder why there are no videos explaining that!!!🤔. It was probably in the instructions I of course did not read!!🤣😂
