Airforce AirForce Texan owners..advice needed

I’m looking at getting a big bore gun for deer hunting here in Michigan. Looking at getting a Texan. I would like to get one of the shrouded versions. But I have a few questions for those with experience shooting the guns.

1. .357, .457 or .50 cal and why?

2. Carbon fiber bottle or aluminum bottle? (Shot counts)

3. Normal or long variation?

4. How far do you feel you can comfortably make a kill shot?

5. What kind of accuracy are you getting out to 100+ yards?

I know this may have already been discussed but I’d like to consolidate my research obviously and I also need to increase my quality post count so I can use the classifieds and message folks instead of having my dad do all my wheeling and dealing on here for me.

.457 LSS, (long), carbon fiber, 4 good shots, 75 yards Kill, 6" at 100.. more than enough power..

I personally like the shorter version texan . It makes plenty of power in 457 to harvest our Michigan whitetail .
as far as grouping when tethered you can expect less than 2” groups at 100 yards with good ammo .

I use a 34inch TX2 Valve .510 Texan with 450 grain cast slugs at around 800 fps..It doesnt matter if you hollow points or solids expect zero blood even if it falls at the shot..I love airguns but subsonic deer hunting is consistently unreliable.. My advise if you are going to use airguns for deer get max amount of power possible..I,ve lost enough with 800 foot pounds...510...My truthful expierience wish i was lying...Pros my Texan cast slugs cost nothing free..It is quiet with donny fl and extension..My .510 with some work done will shoot one hole at 50 yards..3moa on average 125yard groups..
