Hi,
I bought an A.F. Talon P a while back and after shooting it a bit, decided it needed a stock to hang on to. I picked up a 2.5x12" plank of basswood and laid out a stock, using the gun as a template. Basswood works like Styrofoam, so cutting and shaping went quickly. For finish I used light walnut stain and Varathane as a final finish. The eagle and flag were done with a woodburning pencil before finishing.
Since basswood is very lightweight, the pistol now turned rifle carries easily. I've recently swapped a 24 inch barrel for the original 12 inch tube. One of the great things about the Air Force guns is they are easily customized to the owner's preferences. Now I need to decide what to build with the leftover 12 barrel.
