Airgun and customs

I have bought a Gun from Carel and it ended up a customs roadblock. No information for a week and then it was at my door with no shipping updates at all.
I wish I had more patience.
I wondered if that was going to happen. I’m not a very patient person, either - all I can do is come on here and rail about it. 🤠

I was just thinking the CO2 vs ssp that little advantage in smooth cycle to keep that shot steady. Probably going to be well happy with it ..
Well, it will be SSP against SSP once it arrives....I'm sure the shot cycle of the 602 will be night and day compared to the 853

I don't know who "PostNL" is. I've never had anything ship via them to my knowledge. My guns were shipped via UPS and I knew that is how they would come when I placed the order. I guess Krale has changed. I haven't ordered from them since April but they were happy to take that order (a new barrel for my P35-25). I've called them 2 or 3 ties since for status (issue is with SPA sending it to Krale).

My only disappointment with Krale when my two guns were stuck is it seemed like when they got the order out of their store or warehouse they looked at it like their part was over. When I asked them for the shipping invoice they quickly sent it to me but they did not want to call UPS or anything like that. They didn't want to send the shipping invoice to UPS either.

I hesitate to say this but USPS is my least favorite way to receive things. I've had problems with UPS and Fed Ex too but USPS is more of a black hole - extremely hard to get information from. Their performance ranges from great to terrible. I hope yours arrives quickly. Was your rifle over $800? P35s are under $500 but by ordering two at a time I had to pay customs. UPS collected it. It wasn't a lot. I wonder if USPS is set up to collect the fee if it is due.

Post NL seems to be like a Euro version of UPS or FedEx. I purchased my 602 from a private seller, so the experience may be a little different than Krale. I do know it appears USPS is US delivery partner, so in theory, they will deliver it once it's released from customs.

I've had issues with all of the delivery companies, but I agree USPS is the worst when it comes to being a black hole of information. Despite the fact we have a post office in our town, evidently our mail is delivered out of another post office from the next town over.

I paid a little over $800, but that included shipping, so I'm not sure what was on the manifest - I should probably look in to that. Thanks for calling that out.

I don't know if you setting up / you pay a ups world wide shipping ticket / lable that the sender can just print the lable to put on the box .. then it's all set up and took care of by you ... ( unless the sender blunders applying the lable on the box)
I didn't set anything up, it was all handled by the seller. But I know other folks have had good luck with him, so I figure he has the process down. I've sent him a note to verify the paperwork.

PostNL is the national post of the Netherlands.
Personally I have never had a problem with shipping with PostNL.
Often the difference is the tracking between arriving in another country. Customs is the computer default setting.
It will be ok.
You must be right about the default setting - I checked today and now both PostNL and USPS say it's been processed in LA and is inbound to customs...must have taken a while to process...supposedly it will be here on Friday.

"processed in LA and is inbound to customs..".

At least it's accounted for and not lost ..

That's a good positive.👍

Seems odd that I assume los Angeles that it did not cross the shortest route across the Atlantic vs nl across Asia and pacific ? Go figure.

Maybe cause you west coast ?
That's all I can figure - definitely not the most direct route

Wouldn’t travel as a single parcel, would be in a container with hundreds or thousands of others from multiple collection points. My guess, US entry point would be what’s best for the bulk of parcels.

True. But I have a $1 that says it won't be here by Friday like USPS estimates it will.
You got to now think positive.. your in better shape now then you thought so no jinxing..😉

Ya, but did they really just stuff the container with nothing but west coast ? You kinda think the shortest usa point then break it down more reginal processing repack and go ? ( land in NY , unpack, sort for reagin like this to la , that to Miami , the other to Dallas ,ect .

No telling .. then I never figured how a item I got in Ohio goes to everyplace but straight here to my more local hub..

A package that was just 500miles away traveled 2000 to make it here .. lol

Good thing I'm not paying mileage . Them maybe why rates are high due to that waste ...lol
