Airgun Capital Moderator

Thought I would do a quick follow up with some more to come at a later date hen we have better weather…

My Airgun Capital moderator arrived today. I already expected it to be well made from the pictures, and I can still say I’m impressed. They are heavy, so be warned if you have a straw for a barrel. I guess I have gotten used to my Falx Accipiter and Pugio and forgot how heavy a solid moderator could be.

I haven’t tested it yet, but at $65, I am very happy with the initial box opening… nothing cheaper outside of 3D printed stuff and this thing is well made aluminum.

The design is tried and true, so I’ll be curious to see how it does.

mine came also, I have not used it yet but the logo is very obnoxious to me so out comes the BirchwoodCasey aluminim black
I wish they would cease the pricey box and use a cheap cardboard one and lower the retail price
5 internal cones and no felt, solid alum cones, well machined,,, well I got to go play,,, well it aint as quiet as my Weihrauch mod, not even close

Mine just came in a padded envelope in a cardboard box. Lower than $65???

Nice job! Looks much better!

Ok Just took them out and did a few shots of each just for sound. Now I shoot from inside a tool shed so the noise in there is more pronounced. Comparing the two "to My ears" is that the Buck rail is about the same loudness, but the AC mod is just a deeper Tone? More bass in it than the BR. Overall noise was about the same. I will test them again on a warmer day. I was shooting the NORMA 17.6 gr. No doubt it would probably be quieter with My Heavier Pellets. The 17's are doing about 890-900 fps.
