AIRGUN of the YEAR 2022 (Full Review) TAIPAN Veteran TACTICAL Long

True, but just because members posted in the thread you linked that they have a LW barrel doesn't mean that the new Tactical has a LW barrel?

Where is it labeled with a LW barrel?

The CZ on the gun has nothing to do with the barrel. My .25 standard is a LW barrel and says CZ on the side. I already went through this with Tony from talontunes. The .22 standard is a CZ. The .25 standard is LW. All longs are LW. There’s an aftermarket CZ .22 700mm barrel Tony sells, but that doesn’t come standard in any format. I’m not sure what they put in the tactical, but the fact that the tactical is just a replacement stock for any vet, I’m sure they didn’t change barrels specifically for it.

The tactical and the previous versions are the same rifle... the tactical is a stock variant.
I do not have a Taipan, but it looks like a different rifle?

The newest version from Taipan and one of the quiestest bullpups on the market. New features include a 20 MOA rail and anti double feed mechanism. 2022 Newest model

It's not.

Both those features are standard on all taipans. I am on my second taipan now and will likely buy another.

Where does it state the tactical is just a replacement stock for any vet? Where can one purchase the replacement stock?

If you’re going to argue points, you should do your research, or talk to someone who already owns a variant of the vet like ctAirgunner or myself.

Many vet owners were awaiting the tactical stock to come out in hopes that it would include a forward cocking system. It didn’t, and in my opinion makes the fun ugly. I like my vet stock, and the tactical does nothing to improve the vet from what it already is.

With you there, I mean I don't mind the rear cocking but that's a dead horse we'd be besting discussing tbat since we love our taipans and have discussed it a bunch.

I really like the style stock we have, it fits it perfect. Would be cool if they released a synthetic version imo.

I have been going by the Video and information from the Vendor? Which states that the barrel is a CZ.

Doesn't look like anyone will be getting a stock in the US from balistas. Maybe you experts can hash it out with TT and report back?

We are happy with what we've got, these rifles just work, they just perform.

Gotcha. So video information is more trustworthy than vendors or owners. I see where this is going.

the stock is not available stateside yet. Not that anyone would want to replace their wonderful factory stocks with it anyway.

What I did not say that? Please re read what I said. Listen I do not know either of you 2 and would like to think the Vendor has correct information.

I hope Taipan is reading this thread and most threads about Taipan Veteran...WE WANT FORWARD COCKING!
I've seen the clamoring for a forward cocking Vet for at least 4 years now.

Seems that if they had any intention of doing so, they would have by now.

Or maybe they just REALLY take their time on the R&D, making sure to get it right PRIOR to release.

They did pretty well with a bulletproof design the first time around, so maybe they're hoping to keep their reputation intact by working out all the bugs.

Or, they realize that the guns are still selling as rear-cocking and why fix what ain't broken (both in design and sales/business model).

Franklink,

I really hope you are right about taking their sweet time on R&D for a forward cocking. Saw a post on their facebook page but looks to be after market add on and haven't seen anybody else with it. Vaporware? But I disagree with about "why fix what ain't broken" mentality, there is a loud majority who wants forward cocking for this gun and I'm afraid Taipan will left behind in ways of dodo birds. Think blackberry cellphone, which was all the rage in the early 90's. They thought they capture the cellphone market and failed to innovate. Guess what happened next? Apple came along with their iphone that made blackberry obsolete literally over night. Maybe its not as dramatic with Taipan but it sure looks likes obsolescence is knocking at the door already and nothing worse then a slow death of a company with great potential. I want to be a Taipan owner to experience its legendary trigger and accuracy but not until they come out with forward cocking as well.
