airgun scope

Hello everyone forgive if my expression is not correct, because I speak english very little and not have to do the translation by google.
I decided to subscribe to this forum, because I see very complete and because the issue of hunting is not censored. I am from spain.
I need you to give me soome options of rifle scopes for a daystate air ranger 80, caliber 25 and 108 joules. The rifle only used for hun-
ting rabbits and partridges. I would put something good for this rifle, only use for hunting and in some evening out.

I want to by later medium caliber rifle to shoot goats. at distances of no more than 500 yds. and in mountain areas. I have spoken
well of 6.5 creedmoor your think about it.
The question is whether I use the same scope for the two rifles. That if I want a quality scope of medium-high. Thank You

If you want to hunt larger game in the future with a 6.5 or 7mm, or similar, I think you want a scope that has a magnification of about 4x to 6x. The higher powers, while nice for picking small spots on small game, can be an adverse issue when you are suddenly faced with your goat at 25 yards. You would mount the rifle, and all you would see in the scope is fur. You would have no idea where you are holding.

There are a number of makers who make pretty good scopes with 4 - 16x and adjustable objectives. For your larger game you set the scope to 100 yards (or meters), and the power at 4x. If there is a longer shot where you have time, then you can adjust the objective lens and increase power.

Hawke, Leapers, Nightforce, Nikon, Bushnell, and others make good scopes. Some of these manufactures make budget lines as well, which I would avoid for the most part. The price will tell you whether it is a budget scope or one of the better ones.

The Hawke Sidwinder 8x32x56 is a great scope. Just remember it's 2nd focal point. I have two of them and would recommend them. The 6.5 Creedmoor is a great gun also. Just built up a competition AR-10 in 6.5. I use a 6x24x50 Viper PST on it. It's a FFP scope and also worked good on my air guns but would only parallax down to 50 yard min so I changed out to the Hawke. You might consider a 260 Remington in place of the 6.5. Ammo is easier to get. Good luck
