Airgun technologies Vulcan V3

Well, the one that I have is, yes, as far as todays explosive prices go...worth the money.

The trigger is smooth and well adjusted (mine) outta the box. I did reduce the power slightly as I don't a lot of speed for accurate shooting at my range.
The gun shoulders well, easy to hold on target (free-hand / off-hand shooter). The factory sound suppression is fairly well done. Quieter than most without a secondary suppressor. Plenty accurate, but I'm not shooting to 100+ yards.

Yeah, I'll be keeping mine.

How far are you shooting and what caliber do you have I was looking into the 30

I got a .30 from another member here in a trade. He hadn't shot it much, and it was as tuned by Tony at Talon Tunes.

I've only shot it to 50 so far, but it is decidedly one of my most accurate guns to that distance. And surprisingly easy to shoot accurately - heavy enough to get stable on the bench and smooth shot cycle.

I just looked at my notes and it is shooting 44.75's and Hades at 1043 & 1042 fps respectively. My FX Chrony is likely different from Tony's chrony as the test sheet with the gun showed 44.75's at 1018.

I also see a little note to myself which says NSA 43.8 excellent @ 50.

I don't think that you will be disappointed with the V3 in .30 cal.

Josh,
I've been looking into the V3 .30, as well. I'm not a fan of wood stocks and a reported synthetic model is in development. Member, Heavy Impact, reports favorably, except that an advertised barrel was not the one installed in his V3. Some have noted the V3 is a long one and for that reason I'm considering the soon to be released Uragan 2. The ergonomics of my Uragan .25 is impressive and if the Uragan 2 is similar, I think a .30 (700mm) is in my future. WM

108 FPE !?!? ....smoking, gotta love it :) :)

I would look into the Uragan just for the ergonomics and the hand being so close to the barrel reducing the top heaviness.

The V3 .30 is not a .30 caliber like other airguns and does not come with the advertised CZ barrel. Airgun Technology used a different barrel than advertised with .3064 grooves so a lot of air passes standard .300 slugs or you can pay 3X the price for specialty slugs from the one manufacturer that makes them. Some owners have had decent results using hollow base slugs that seal the bore like a pellet skirt but only the lighter ZANs are made that way. The gun was marketed as an unchoked slug gun that was supposed to be "excellent" for slugs but that was an outright lie and Airgun Technology was fully aware of what they had done and have been completely unapologetic about it offering no remedy whatsoever and ignoring emails. The newest versions are supposed to have a proper sized CZ barrel but how would you know what you're getting until you're stuck with it? They lied on the first round so why believe them now.
I wouldn't be too worried about a .22 or .25 but I would steer clear of what was supposed to be .30 on the V3. If you only want to shoot pellets you may be OK with it.
I purchased a new TJs barrel to fix Airgun Technology's cluster F but most people wouldn't be willing to do that. It's been too hot for me to work in my shop but I'll get the new barrel installed sometime soon and start a new thread on it.
