Airgun Warriors

If anyone is thinking of purchasing airguns off this forum be very careful, found 3 ads that the person had had no activity for 5-6 yrs and suddenly selling high dollar items. One of them is a 4500.00 Whiscombe.
So proceed with caution, could be inactive members suddenly selling off guns but I doubt it.
Almost all accounts were old member accounts from 2018.

Wow, I haven't looked at that forum in years! Honestly forgot about it. It's unfortunate, but airgun-by-mail requires a paranoid level of due diligence, regardless of what website it's on.
As for the Whiscombe, I actually saw one once at a GTA annual meetup. Beautiful gun and great design, but my pockets don't go that deep.

That site is not maintained as it should be. There also doesn't seem to be the participation that there once was. It's really a shame.
There are many posts that are languishing for months on end without replies. Some of the topics have not been updated or even used for a huge amount of time.
I would not even consider buying on that forum, way too risky IMO.

I handled two , an 80 , nice heavy gun and a 60 ? that was for sale , but the thought of a repair/parts was just the deciding factor not to buy .

I bought an item from there last year but:
1) I spoke to the seller on the phone
2) the seller was local enough that we arranged to meet and I paid in cash right there.

All in all a great deal. He was selling gear he no longer used and was not current on which forums had activity. He was the exception. Most of the time the accounts are hacked and taken over by a scammer who is hoping you’ll send money without checking if they are real.
