Seventeen shooters were in attendance for what appeared to be the perfect day for field target. Bright blue skies with big, puffy clouds scattered around and mild temps, with light wind seemed to be the formula for the day. That would change towards the end of the match when a massive thunderclap sounded directly overhead. It was only a few moments before it started to sprinkle, then drizzle, then the sky opened up with a vengeance, followed by heavy winds and sleet, all within just a few minutes!
Some shooters were finished and others were just a lane or two from completion. The scores are indicative of how many hits based on number of shots fired, as some shooters opted to forego the remainder of the match in order to get out of the rain. The temperature also dropped dramatically.
Four classes were contested this month, with Open PCP being the most heavily populated. Here are the scores and equipment stats;

Thanks go to our treasurer, Miss Moneypenny, for taking registration and also doing the photographic duties. Thanks also to Pat, Kent, Bobby, Nathan, and Cole for helping set the challenging course. An even bigger thank you to Pat, Bill, Kent, Bobby, Cole, Wes, Ben and whoever I might have missed for challenging themselves at taking in the soaked targets, strings, clamps, and blocks after the rain stopped. That was mightily appreciated. They are now all drying out in the Roger’s garage until next month.
Next month is the AZ state championship. If you plan on attending, we request that you preregister, please. It helps us with planning.
