Hoping someone can help me. I want to get this gun but on the fence between 22cal or 25cal. Not to many videos on the 25cal. So hopefully someone here can help me.

For hunting 25 is generally considered a better choice as far as I know. 22 for target shooting. Though, many people hunt small game with 22 slugs. I think @JaceSpace1369 can give you a much better advice though, I'm only into target shooting and actually use both

I have the Air Venturi Avenge X in both caliber but it’s to heavy to carry around that’s why I want the compact Katran. I agree 25 cal is probably best for hunting especially for larger game. Just want other opinions before I get one.

That’s what I’m thinking. Not sure if you can change barrels on this gun in case I want 22 cal also.

Are you committed to the Airmaks Katran? There are other options that deliver the power in 25Cal and have "easy" caliber swap options. The FX Maverick being one of them. You can get a VP 600mm version for about the same price as the Katran bottle HP version.

If you want to stay in the Airmaks family, I use a Krait L in .25 and it is great for small to medium game. .25 is really a good all around caliber for hunting as the ammo doesn't cost as much as the larger calibers and it can carry a bit more punch than a .22. You can get .22s with as much fpe as most .25s though so don't dismiss it for hunting altogether.

I kinda like the Airmaks Katran as far as adjustable and break down. I have looked at others but for the price point it’s good enough for me and what I will use it for. Plus I want the compactness with folding stock.
