Airmaks Katran new model

Just wondering if anyone has any information on the new more powerful Katran that’s supposed to be available in a few weeks. I have learned that it’s supposed to be better for slugs and heavy pellets. I would guess in both 22 and 25 cal. I’ve pondered selling my Avenger 22 and my Kratos 25 to get the Katran. A friend has a 22 and it’s pretty sweet.

@airmaksarms thank you for the update on the Katran HP and Compact. One question I know is asked and I am interested in. When will the Katran be available in .177 in the United States?

Does the C & the CB share the same weight? I seen 2.3 kg, but did not differentiate between the two. Like that weight.

@nutcracker I am confused at some of AirMaks rollout of their guns, they list .177 available, but I can’t find anywhere .177 is available. Even at the stores in CZ it is on .22 and 25 cals. Honestly, I think the Katran would be a great base market for the .177. The 177 market for PCPs is isn’t overwhelmed with them in usual stock. Yes, I know there is caliber popularity, but last I checked Howler slugs in .177 are becoming available, as with JSBs. So it would make sense for a company like AirMaks to sell a slug capable gun in .177 when you see a slug capable gun and 177 cal slugs starting to flood the market.

@nutcracker Today I sent two emails asking about new models of Katrans being rolled out, the Compact and HP models. One email was to AirMaks Arms and one to Utah Airguns basically asking the same thing.

I told AirMaks I have checked every dealer website in both Europe and the USA to find out where the Katran Compact is being sold. NO ONE has it. Also, do they plan to actually sell the .177 version, any where.

One interesting last note. I know the HP version is on the market because I was told someone’s buddy had it, but ordered directly from Arms. Can we do that? If so, I will do that in the future.

Last note, I did ask UA if they don’t / won’t normally carry the Katran in .177. Can I do a special order on one. The Katran Compact chambered in .177 is on my list to be purchased after the EdGun Leyla in .22.

that is interesting I thought they said they had the compacts out now. Hope you get one in .17. I think the compact is the only one I would even have any interstin, the others look like they may be a tad front heavy.

Hey I sent an email to AirMaks Arms asking about the status of the Katran Compact, HP and .177 versions getting to USA. Utah Airguns I guess put in an order for all of the former. Anyone know what the plenum size on the katran x hp will be?

Wonder if you can request the .25 plenum on the .22 that would be a beast of a gun. If they had a bullpup with this barrel and plenum it would be an awesome impact alternative for slugs.
