I would like to hear from some of you who have installed and used one of these on your impact. I only have one question. Does this improve your accuracy? I can see where it might dampen the harmonics but does it really improve your groups? I appreciate everyone’s input. Thanks

Well it does stop any flexing of the frame and the scope rail is all one piece. which would be lined up better with the gun. so yeah it does help accuracy but couldn't tell you how much. shooting groups depends on the shooter and a lot of other variables

I am not sure I can say it has improved accuracy, but it has improved consistency. I don't have perfect mechanics and tend to hold with more or less downward grip pressure from mag to mag. This will show up on an Impact. With the backbone this has been completely eliminated. It may be mostly mental, but the extra rigidity is great for confidence. I also love the bolt open detent hold. No more hitting the probe while inserting a mag. Very nice.

I should have been more clear with my question. I am aware that there are many factors that can and do effect accuracy. I am wondering if all other factors remain consistent, will the backbone improve accuracy?

On its own, the backbone does not correct any issues I am aware of. As a part of the system, it is an improvement . Another benefit is that the rail is part of the backbone so if you need to open the gun you have less poi shift than removing and replacing the separate rail which has a bit of play built into it.

I haven’t seen a accuracy improvement, does give you more flexibility in mounting a scope, can’t hurt in stiffening the whole front and rear assembly.

If you never noticed certain issues with an Impact, then you will never notice a difference if you put one on. I have two Impacts. One has a backbone rail, the other doesn’t because it doesn’t need it.

Me personally I don't shoot my MK2 from a bipod but mostly fixed in a one piece rest, or occasionally from a tripod (with a gimbal), and I cannot recall shooting the Impact off hand.
Lurking with the idea - every point counts, just need to figure how to

To be honest... Unless you hang off your impact like a gorilla while shooting, it's not going to make any significant difference. But I barely touch the grip, medium cheap hold, and the entirety of my rifle is supported by a front bipod and rear bag. So there was nothing to gain (for me) by making the rifle more rigid.

Things like this add to the overall package and just refine your airgun a bit more as a whole. Don't expect earth shattering changes with something like that

I really like my Saber Tactical TRS rail and carbon fiber tensioner and shroud. Did either make the rifle any more of a tack driver than it was before? Nope. But they added immense rigidity to the package. The TRS rail as a level on the back that is handy. The barrel is so Ridgid and well supported, it doesn't even feel like the same gun anymore. It all just further refined an already great platform.
