Airmax or P-rod??

I have recently been plaing with some old classic co2 pistols that have now got me wanting a pcp pistol. I already have a Prod setup as a carbine, so I am very familiar with that platform and know I can easily get good power in .22 and even convert to .25 if I decided to go that route. The Airmax seems appealing as many people are already modifying them. Anyone have an Airmax? Any opinions?

I think I would go with the Prod or better yet the 1720T. In .177 my 1720 get 22-23 shots at 16FPE and is very accurate to 50yds. Don't have any further to test it.
I am starting to see some reports starting on the YF about leaks with the Airmax, and the distributor not handling them very well (imho).
Also if you look at some of the results the regulator seems a bit off. Some tests are like 4-6% fps ES over the string. Acceptable under 18yds, but not at 50 I would think. With my 1720T tuned with a 4% curve I know where my higher shots are in the string. With the Airmax they are bounced all over the string.

I have read most of the YF posts and other forums as well regarding the Airmax. It seems intriguing because caliber changes will be very easy. The problems all seem easy enough to fix, but I have tons of Prod parts and have tuned and modified a number of them already. The breech design of the Airmax lends itself to easy caliber changes, but it is a weak point. Also unsure 8f the Airmax even has the power potential of a Prod?

Sorry for the sidetrack, but I'm curious how you have setup your 1720t to get those specs?

I hunt with mine and drilled out the TP, but am unable to get above 10.5-11fpe. My shot curve is a bit goofy too with low power between 3000 and 2500psi.

Thanks
