Tuning akela trigger - new airgun

i’m totally new to airguns. but i’m immediately obsessed. any way: i just got a new benjamin akela 22. seems great .. except the trigger seems chincy not well made.. and it rotates so i probably need to tighten it.

my question - is the trigger in fact not good or is it on par with other guns in its price point?

2) can i upgrade it?

thanks for taking a look

If the trigger shoe is rotating there is a set screw that needs to be tightened. Being a “semi-bullpup” design, the Akela uses additional linkage to connect the trigger blade to the rest of the actual trigger mechanism. I have heard some owners complain about a bit of slop in this linkage that they were able to improve with some shim washers...

Airgun Detectives made a video recently that talks a bit about adjusting them, but he doesn’t really go into any mods such as shimming out slop.
