Other Akela vs. P35 vs. Bullboss

I have space and budget for a 'budget' bullpup.

Budget because it is my first bullpup, I want to first see if I like the concept, then I will possibly buy a higher end rifle.
We are also quite limited on choice over here in South Africa compared to Europe and the USA.
I am also not able to walk into a store to look and feel, I need to buy online.

I spent a lot of time reading forums, watching reviews, but am still not sure.

They are all similar in price, power and functionality - I am looking at .22.

Any personal experience of why one over the other, or rather why not one of these?
(My preference with the limited knowledge I have is Akela, then P35, then Bullboss).

I have 3 P35s but no experience with the other two. I am pretty sure the P35s are the lightest. They also have mid instead of rear cocking. Mine are all accurate, the 22 surprisingly so. It has given me a 200 on the 30 yard challenge. They are regulated guns. My 22 likes h&n baracuda match pellets and shoots them over 800 fps for about 32 fpe. I use a 3d printed moderator in the shroud and the guns are quiet. The plastic stock is thick and solid. The Stoeger bullshark is almost identical. There is also a slightly more expensive P35X/Remington SpiritX with more power and a wood stock. I highly recommend.

Akelas are very nice guns had a .177 which was very accurate. Wish I had purchased the .22 instead for hunting even though did use the .177 a bit. Did the spring mod on mine and shot count increased to like 90-92 usable shots if I remember correctly. Believe it was around 16/17ftlb.
Sidelever was never a issue just reached over gun and cocked with left hand, after you did it for a bit was easier then doing it right handed.

I hope you got it from airgun revisions for the best price at least. Personally the rear side lever is a nogo for me, p35x is superior in every way.

I am in South Africa, but got a really good price.

The rear side lever is not great, would have preferred a more forward version, but overall the Akela was my first choice, and the price compared to the P35 sealed the deal.
I am also seldom in a hurry with follow-up shots, so should be OK with the lever, I should know soon.

The P35X is sadly not available here, we have a small market and limited choice.

If you ever stumble upon a side lever from Kral, don't hesitate to buy it to replace the one on your akela. Apparently they are a direct fit
