Alkin owners and repairs

About to pull the trigger on a alkinw31 or maybe a omega. The only reason I say omega is I won’t really use it that much and only have 2 tanks. Is there any repairs on the alkin or will it just last for years to come. I’ve seen the omega ones last for years before needing repair but they will need repair eventually.
I have the money for the Alkin just not sure if I need that much compressor for what I have.
done been the yong heng route and don’t want that anymore. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I just pulled the trigger on an alkin after having issues with the daystate branded compressor from Arizona 6 hrs and the motor stalled out, under warranty I sent it back on my dime to the tune of 140.00 upon returning to me its damaged in shipping, a brand new unit is then sent to me and it leaks from around the gauge wher it screws into the water separator!!! Get a replacement part and it leaks in the same spot, so back it went with a full refund! Alkin w31 for me...

Rcates, thanks for asking that question. I am in the same situation, too bad we dont live closer together, we could split the cost for lifetime air. I only shoot Leshiy classics so my air needs are probably even less than yours, but air is the biggest problem of PCPs, but I honestly wont go back to a springer. Buying a Alkin for Leshiy classics are an overkill, but all other compressors seem like more maintenance than I want put up with at this point. Oh well, I guess my kids or specifically may grandsons will inherit a nice pump,

Well I guess it’s a alkin then lol. Now I just need to find some more carbon fiber tanks at a decent price

The reason for the compressor is so that you don't need to purchase more tanks. With a good compressor it should take you no more that 30 min to refill your tank from 3,000 PSI to 4500 PSI. I would instead suggest you get a second smaller tank that can be put in a back pack so you can go out in the field and shoot more without having to lug the larger tank or having to return to the truck to refill multiple times.

With a good compressor (Coltri MCH6, Daystate Type 2, Alkin W31, Bauer Junior), it will do that in 6 or 7 minutes. I fill my 45min SCBA from 3000psi to 4500psi in about 9 or 10 minutes,

One tank is fine and just fill it first if you are going out for a day or two of shooting.

You can’t drag the compressor with you when your going somewhere for a weekend hunt so a few tanks would be nice!
