American Air Arms All Things EVOL - Master Thread

A Paradigm is in my future, when I get it I want to get it and my other 2 evols high tier scopes, looks like I need 10 grand.. go fund me?!
Imagine what you could do, actually and practically with three such rigs? The World might be tipped off its axis… so much awesomeness in one dude’s hands? I can’t wait to see what happens…🤓

Lol enabler!

I cannot wait, I always scoffed at 18.13s , "how good can they be?" , as of late a lot has been making me scratch my head.

Awesome consistency. What a fine piece of equipment! I thought the HPS’ were designed for slug shooting? Looks like it’s doing quite well with the 18gr pellets!
I keep coming back to peruse this thread and each time it makes me more inclined to go ahead and buy another Evol.
How’s the noise level on the HPS?
This is an original hps, no longer produced , far and few between and no relation to any new hps that is to come out. It's really more of a collector item at this point that shoots really well. It was originally designed around a slug no longer produced and I had not much luck with other slugs in it trying various weights n sizes.

As far as noise levels go , the evols in factory form are not loud, but they are not suburban backyard friendly either

I have the Evol .30 and am very pleased with its factory moderator, just wondering how the .22 might compare. Nice HPS!

I think I'm gonna switch to the JTS line of pellets. I hear they got 18gr, 22gr and the 25gr coming out. And are super consistent with alittle harder lead. I've got a ton of really bent up pellets in my tins of the JSB varieties lately.
Once a retailer has them ill be more inclined to try them (the 25.4). Right now buying direct from jts there's no buy 4 get 1 and they're 15 a tin.

I didn't even know they had them for sale on there site. I'll check them out and see what they have coming. But yeah idk JSB has dropped the ball when it comes to consistency and is getting annoying.

@Dairyboy @madeintheuk you guys were all spot on

like i mentioned to , my consistency was there and the small increments i was making were bringing upon sporadic readings even after 3 or 4 shots to settle, so I said heck with it. I will never argue with consistency.

I decided to back the HST off till it would not fit in the stock and made small incremental adjustments until I hit 890ish

I haven't not tested groupings yet but am about to shortly but this is my current spread

2100 psi to 1150 psi yielded 60 shots.

Thanks for making your points or I would have not had done this.

I now have a very smooth easy cocking , at least 50% quieter rifle, and more shot count. Now to test it on paper

@madeintheuk we were chatting and you had missed the thing about 2100 psi to 1150 psi yielded 60 shots.

So new update on the setup. It is really awesome. Again I thank the aforementioned bunch who gave me input as you lead to this fine tune.

I only filled to 3400 psi and took her out, from 3400 to reg I got exactly 9 magazines, so 99 shots, if I were to fill to 4000 this rifle , by the math, could get 136 shots. Which is huge considering yesterday I was at 55-60.

It's also mouse fart quiet now, literally. It feels like it's broken lol. It also has a much calmer cycle and easier to cock.

It's accuracy is superb as well...

So thanks to you guys for questioning things

Anyone care to speculate on potential new upcoming offerings from AAA?
One of them is definitely going straight to the top of my bucket/wish - list… just not sure what they may have going on “behind the curtain“ at the moment, so I’m holding my breath as long as I can 😆
The mini .30 is coming. I’m hoping to see them being offered soon.

FYI, I bought some JTS' recently from Pyramid. They have the shallow skirts like the OLD style MRD's had from a few years ago that were SOOOooooo accurate.

Tim - This made my day. My RAW HM1000x .22 HP only shoots the MRDs. Speaking to Martin recently, and he understood and communicated to me, that JSB was making the ‘shallow cavity’ MRDs again. He also said that there is a large inventory still out there of the ‘deep cavity’ pellets and it may take a while before we see them from JSB.

Re. JTS- You’re talking about the JTS Dead Center Take Down Domed 25.39 .22 cal pellets, right?

I buy my JTS pellets from Hajimoto
