Huben All Things HUBEN GK1 (air pistol) - Master Thread

They ripped you 35buck for a crappy 3d printed supresor!?

Mine is included for free in my custom loading gate that cost 1,5 bucks, and also includes a dust cover and a free extra download for precisely correct your problem.

What problem is it? Well, your "perfect" gun factory treads are misaligned in way too many pistols, plus if your barrel is not perfectly aligned and you have to correct the deviation via zeroing the iron sights too far, the barrel to slide press design will also affect the moderator as it sits on the slide, so it end up angled and pellet starts impacting baffles and altering POI.

That's why the elf from the video end up designig a floating barrel version, and thats why I ended doing my solution.

Just found a solution to buckrail 3d suppressor ‘s deviated shots,
a rubber o ring that sits flush between the buckrail 3d printed suppressor and the gk1 1/2” threaded adapter…
tested it back to back shots and hitting the bulls eye..
no patents,
free for all,
enjoy.

The freaking magnet came off,
watch out guys
almost lost this little disc lime magnet iI wasn’t paying attention,
was just loading the ammo when this magnet fell off!!!!
using the glue on hand to put it back but gonna be keeping an eye on one more freaking tiny thing now that if lost can make the whole loading gate upgrade useless!!!
I guess if it was .22 or .25 this disc shape magnet would fall straight into the magazine and goes 800fps into the unknown space to be never found again!!!

Hey everyone I just started shooting the GK-1/.177 last night with the factory open sights they had the range set up for 20 meters but plan on shooting the 10 meter next week the sights are not too impressive are there any other options for opens like a replacement rear blade trying to stay with the opens. I’m pretty sure 10 meters will be much easier but if I can improve why not ! Thanks !!

I can understand your frustration, but stuff happens. FYI you can buy the magnets at Amazon probably, or AliExpress and have a dozen of them for not much. As for falling out, a dab of glue will fix the problem.

These problems shouldn't happen, but sometimes they do. I suppose you can contact them and let them know there seems to be a workmanship issue with the part. Show them pictures and let them know that you are disappointed. Perhaps they will respond favorably. At the very least you can fix it yourself.

For myself, I'm fine with the stock gate. It works and is simple.

Slapping rare earth magnets will lead to their early demise, as they are brittle. Definitely have to be gentle with them, at least that's my experience. I've busted a few on other projects. Had a pair leap into the air and stick to each other in a fraction of a second. That caused one of them to crack.

If you have a 3d printer make you own. If you recess the magnets just enough they will not impact anything thus will not shatter. With this design on a 177 you can load up to 5 at a time!

HIGHLY recommend this one, the magnet is recessed so you don’t need to worry about them smacking together, also nice texture

@.177Guy Thanks for sharing your experience with your Ares Tactical branded loading gate. We've been through the discussion of loading gates within this thread already. If you don't like the one that you have, consider reading back and see what people are using. There's no point in repeating an existing discussion.

There is no issue with the OEM loading gate. It works fine. No reason to change it at all. You can only pick up and load one pellet at a time no matter what loading gate you use. As the owner and user, learn to use the factory gate and advance the magazine in one smooth motion. Modifying what already works fine makes no sense.

Unless: you want/need to seat the pellets. In that case a ‘after market’ loading gate works better because you can reach the pellets better.

Also: removing pellets from the magazine (for what ever reason) is easy with an after market loading gate.

Otherwise: indeed, don’t fix what’s not broken :)

i've never understood the aftermarket loading gates either - the magazine has to be rotated either way, and as you say, no matter how many chambers are visible at a time, you still have to load them individually.

i think there is some concern about abrasion on the skirt of the pellet or the trailing edge of a slug, on the oem loading gate.
I prefer the swing gates myself, and in fact find myself sometimes picking up two slugs just right, and dropping them in there at once.

The OEM gate also lends itself better to seating tools, if you use one of those. I know Kelly provides a fill plug with a 2mm seating tool on the end of it...not sure how many people seat them tho.

What BS is this I hear about seating? Never seat anything! If you do, you are inviting a jam. Pellets are retained by the chamfer at the rear end of the magazine bores. The skirt is about .010" larger than the pellet head. The pellet head is a slip fit in the magazine's bores and the skirt , being a bit larger, is captured in the chamfer. This prevents the pellet slipping forward and jamming the magazine the same way a revolver cartridge is retained in the cylinder in a powder burner by the brass case flange. As to slugs, they have no skirt and must be retained by friction alone. The GK1 is NOT designed for slugs. You should not use them, they add no value at pistol distances and they cost a great deal more to shoot.
