Alpha vs Delta

Hello AGN community. I have decided to give daystate a chunk of money, and I can’t decide whether the Alpha, or Delta wolf would be the best choice. I am also interested in hearing about other options that actual gun owners might have. Please point out any negative issue you might have had, along with the positives. Thank you in advance for any information provided. I am looking at .177, and usage would be Field Target, IFP, and other club events.

If I were to do it again, I think that I would opt for the Alpha as it already has a stock that is more congenial to bench shooting. The Wolf does not have a piece spanning between butt and trigger making it less congenial when benching.
I will also state that the Wolf has a short throw from trigger to butt and is not as comfortable as it might be if it had a more adjustable length of pull.
Lastly, it is a PITA to reattach the butt pad once removed as the sliding nut inside of the butt stock moves and the screw is not long enough to reach the first thread. I have to stuff the backside with a plastic piece of trash bag in order to prop it up enough for the screw to catch the first thread. The Alpha likely shares this anomaly.

I have an Alpha in .177. I would go with the Alpha with 17" barrel. I think for FT you'd want to add some pieces.

IMO the stock plastic butt is pretty terrible for the cost of the rifle. There are 3D printed FT butts available or the PRS which is really nice and adds to the LOP a bit. Although I've never had any issues with LOP.

The Alpha stock can be somewhat easily replaced with a nice Ergo grip and rail. Having had some flex issues with the Alpha stock when tripod mounted I looked into rails. From what I've read there is a bit of flex in the PRS rail so I went with the K&L Trigger Guard/Extended Rail. I'm very happy with it having both a full length Arca rail and also full length T-slot to allow easy hamster attachment.

I have my reg set a bit high for FT as I also shoot the 16.2gr pellets and slugs, so I don't use the auto speed settings. I pretty much exclusively use the Advanced Settings via the USB programming and have all my projectiles setup with slow, medium and fast profiles. YMMV if it's a strict FT purpose purchase.

I converted by Delta to an Alpha. Like to stock far more this way. I used the rifle for FT for a while, but until I entered my own programs the rifle was inconsistent - I believe it tried to settle into the programmed speed at the expense of your first 4 shots of a FT lane - just in time to be shut down for the next lane. Drove me absolutely nuts.
Once I had my own program it was dead on. I have a love hate relationship with this rifle. I love the technology, the ease of programming and changing power setting - but only once I figured out it's shortcomings. I also figured out that I am not a bullpup sort of person. I am glad I got to play with something this sophisticated and have no plans to sell.
Since my club is starting to offer XFT this season I converted the AW to a .25 - I expect to dial this in before embarrassing myself again. Let us see if I can get the AW to work as an XFT rifle.

BTW - I used the polar opposite for the second half of my first FT season - a USFT
