Altaros Altaros regulator

I just got a used altaros reg here local and the regulating screw is bottomed out, ( all the way in clockwise) it showed 100 bar when I changed it to 150 bar my fps was only around 450fps. My question is what is the factory setting for the screw? It seems it shouldn't be bottomed out like that to begin with. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thats not a good thing to turn the screw all the way in as long if it was only snuged up its OK
You can try 1.5 turns out and up to 1.75 turns to start with this is a good place to start

I can only assume your talking about the black reg with the M-18 X 1.5 threads on it

Thanks, yes it wasn't tight just all the way down.

Well If I remember correctly 1.75 turns out should be about 145 bar or slightly less
I've used those regs a lot in the past and even made a custom reg tester for that reg

Max out presser on those regs is about 2800-2850 PSI give or take a little
