Alternative to the Emperor.

Just wondering if there is a reliable alternative to the Emperor for my Hp max .457 ?
I attempted a makeshift, but it failed.I will probably attempt another if I must, but...

This thing is louder than my colt .44 ball & powder.!
Looking for something that does not cost an arm and a leg...
All the manufactured quality ones start at or around the $100+ mark. You can go 3d printed but don't see those lasting very long and if you get clipping well I assume it would be trash at that point. You can view videos online on making a DIY suppressor (powder burner design very close to what airgunners use).

Appreciate it.
Yea I've seen plenty vids..just don't have the tools for something that will last too long. As for 3d ,I guessing your right about longevity as my own plastic creation (pretty durable) didn't hold up too well...have to try again.

Kinda blows getting a new airgun ( that leaked) mags don't work..and then to feel forced to use a specific brand made specifically for the companies model.

Sort of reminds me of buying my kid a game and basically paying for it again through future dlc that was cut from the original game..just to shark ya.... "did you get your moderator? OK now you need our adapter ( separately of course).Noise still scaring the hogs? Lucky for you we have an extension (separate of course...)."

All I'm saying is I wish there was more competition, some reliable alternative with lower price tag...I suppose I could be the competition , but I'm not a millwright or anything.

Truth be told it's my own damn fault..I figured I had done enough research into the products and expenses (wow! and I didn't even get the really nice pcp I wanted).
I made the silly assumption that I knew enough because of familiarity with break barrel and BP.
Live and learn...been doing lots of that lately!

I guess you looked into other brands but ya same story if you have a shroud over the barrel you'll need a adapter now assuming you have a threaded barrel at all you might able to easily remove the shroud and attach moderator. However if the gun is a semi-auto removing the shroud may not be a option as it may prevent the operation of the semi-auto feature. Best of luck no easy answer.

Some say they like these over the DonnyFL (The HUSHCANS) "https://lethalair.net/shop/ols/products/hushcans/v/HSH-357-510" but still over $100 but less then a DonnyFL. The HUSHCANS cost $190.00 seems to come with proper threading (.357-510 cal. with m18x1mm threads for a un-Shrouded barrel). Just incase you missed theses.

I to own the AEA HP Max .457 I did go with a DonnFL w/extension didn't need the adapter
However after I purchased the AEA Challenger .457 Bullpup I did need that adapter if I were to keep the shroud on. So ya I got the adapter cause I want the shroud as protection of the barrel and it has baffles inside to help (very little) lessen the sound.

On my HP Max I did have a slight leak at the gauge but easy fix (slightly tighten it fix the issue) and no other issue at this time.

I did miss those!
Just to be clear you did not require the donny fl adapter to connect the moderator and extension for the .457 max?
Was it the Emperor?

Regardless I have to investigate those Hushcans!

Thanks for taking the time to help. Much appreciated.
Yes, all I needed for my HP Max .457 was the moderator with proper end cap which is included. this is the one I bought but yes the Emperor_v3 https://donnyfl.com/collections/ldc/products/2-x-10-5-inches-emperor-v3?variant=14050945105963 The extension I bought as well after the fact in efforts to have it as quite as possible. Now you can add felt which I did as well (felt from the DollarTree craft section with their cheap scotch bright pad to have just a quarter scotch bright pad the rest felt, I did not touch what was installed from manufacture just added to it). Here's a video of a person using the hushcan on the AEA M50
The Hushcan is about $50 cheaper then the DonnyFL more if you were to spend another $60 on the DonnFL 6" extension.

Lol, yea long for sure. However the way I see it, a silencer is not meant to be on a barrel while walking thru brush or doorways. Real world snipers are hidden and stationary. About the length of this real world snipers suppressor
Yea a buying point on the max for me was a compact, foldable big bore ..just something to carry in a backpack or keep in the truck. I would just screw it off and carry the moderator in the backpack til I got to my hunting area...
And of course for the back forty target practice (not so much for the neighbors benefit, but the wife's) and occasional coyote in the long hours of the night.

I understand. And so true Happy Wife Happy Life. Lol Also no need to attract any anti-gunners attention.
