Alumina Leupold Scope Lens Covers

Thought I'd pamper myself and buy a set of lens covers for my Leupold 6.5-20x40 EFR Air Rifle scope. Unfortunately, I ended up sending them back. Overall, they are very pricey and the objective cover didn't fit well. The eyepiece cover fit great and I really liked the magnets and feel of the cover. However, the objective cover did not sit flush with the rest of the scope. It seemed poorly designed to me and was not able to tilt all the way back flush with the scope like the eyepiece cover did as the pictures below show:

I have owned dozens of leupold scopes over the years and currently have many.
They all have, and do currently, wear the lumina covers.
Most will flip all the way back on top of the scope, but some will go about 90% of the way back, which is fine with me. Some of there objective lenses are a little thicker than others, which is what causes that.

The fine threads on these can be easy to cross thread, if not careful installing them.

IMO, they are the best fitting, and least obtrusive of any flip ups I've tried over the past 3 decades. Pricey yes, but precision made, just like there line of optics.

Sorry to hear that you had a problem. I love them.
