You're right - $250 is not cheap. I've had the Diana Bandit, if you want to compare something in the price range, and was more than disappointed chasing around a wandering point of impact. I realize both of these guns are made by SPA, but there's a world of difference in the construction and no floating barrel in the PP750.
I wouldn't offend the the HW44 by trying to compare the two. They are not on the same level and that shows across the board in refinement of the trigger, loading mechanism, barrel, precision, etc. So like I said it's a good gun. I able to keep my .177 within a 1" or so group at 17 yard shooting offhand with the stock.
