Am I looking for a Unicorn?

I'm looking for a light weight scope with a wide FOV, and parallax adjustment down to 10yds. I want to mount a OneLeaf Commander 100NV on it. I just got it yesterday and it's currently on my Nikko Sterling 4-16X44. It's just a very narrow FOV at 4X trying to find something better for ratting in tight quarters. I have some 3-12X44 BSA's and a 2.5-10X44 Vortex, but they aren't much better.

I saw the 2-7X32 Bug Buster and Monstrum, but they are both front AO parallax adjustment. Might have to settle for one if I can't find a side parallax adjustment.

@customcutter --- what @deloopsaid.

I'd checkout Immersive Optics first. Massive FoV, parallax down to 6 yards, very clear glass. Small.

Thanks for the replies. I looked at Immersive optics when they first came out. IIRC there were some issues with depth of field on them. I don't know if they were the lower power or higher power units. I'll try to find out and do a little more research on them.

On most of these scopes you can use the parallax adjustment as a range finder. That might be your "depth of field" issue. It's both a plus and a minus, in that you can avoid purchasing a rangefinder.

The 5x24 has very forgiving depth of field. Not sure on the 10x24. 5x30 much shallower, and I believe the larger ones are all very shallow.

If you wan't mode depth though, 5x24 fits the bill.

Thanks for the input. Yes, I had wondered about the zero eye relief as well. Might be an issue for the OneLeaf. I know that the DOF on the Nikko Sterling is not real critical. However since adding the OneLeaf the slightest change in the parallax adjustment them I have to adjust the focus on the Oneleaf at the front and rear to everything back in focus. Not critical for shooting rats unless you want quality video. LOL

I have a "cheap" ACOG look alike that is 4X and FOV is slightly less than 4X on the Nikko Sterling. I was surprised when I compared the two.

FWIW, the eyerelief on the 5x24 and 5x30 Immersive's, while short, is very much not 0. I forget the exact spec, but about 2". Massive FoV.
