Finally after months of waiting, my .30 EVOL Tac arrived a couple of days ago. To say I’m impressed would be an understatement to say the least! This is not my first AAA rifle, the EBR winning .308 Slayer is well documented.
I
By the time I had a scope mounted, I was chasing daylight and managed to sight in, and shoot a few 50 yard groups. These were shot with unsorted JSB 44.75 gn at 890 fps, or about 78 fpe. This is a MILD state of tune for the EVOL. The efficiency is off the charts. AAA are known for quality and power, but most people don’t realize how efficient they actually are. I’m drawn to, and fascinated by these guns for what they are - a micro brewed, boutique product that’s simply superior (IMO) to the mass produced competition. It just screams QUALITY. If you can run over an Edgun with a small SUV, you could run over this rifle with a tank, because it’s built like one!
There’s more going on with these guns than most people know. Every part is tested, obsessed over. They’re the Rolex of airguns, in my opinion (after 25 years in the sport). They’re a pain in the ass to get, but WORTH THE WAIT.
Anyway, I just had to share. These guns are simply badass, and 50 yards is nothing. It sure bodes well for 100+ yards though. Will share more as I shoot it, just need more spare time and better weather. Stay tuned!
