Hi Guys, just returned from an afternoons rabbit shoot,
in the back of beyond, it really is remote so quiet ,
i arrived at 13-00 and set up in a large paddock along side
a very narrow country lane ,airgun of choice today ,
my huntsman.20 cal, my fav rabbit gun, now this shoot is over run with rabbits,
they appear even in daylight hours.
i set up covering a very large warren in some dense blackberry bushes hiding
in the hedge with primos sticks, camping stool, x2 bottles of water
and lots of patience ,after 25 mins x3 rabbits appeared chasing each other
around about 30 yds from me i waited for a shot and bowled the 1st rabbit
over with a back of the head shot ,the 2nd rabbit just sat rooted to the spot
and was shot right between its eyes, the 3 rd rabbit did a runner , but so many around
i was there until 16-45 hrs and finished with 15 rabbits recovered, one lost in black thorn bushes
that will feed the foxes, thats the best afternoons rabbit shooting i have had in
a long time, great fun , the land owner is very happy.!!
